Log cabin in Inari Partakko, on the shore of Siuttajoki
Description
On the shore of Siuttajoki, in the peace and quiet of Inari's Partakko, an authentic and atmospheric log cabin. The cozy cabin has a fireplace, a baking oven and a stove. Gas stove and mini fridge. The sauna is praised, as is the cozy barbecue hut. In summer, water is pumped from the well. In winter, you have to carry water from the river. To heat the cabin, you must know how to use a fireplace and a stove. There is no electricity grid, but the generator and the solar power plant with accumulator work in the hands of a skilled tenant. The space The cottage is our family's beloved leisure home with a cozy living room and a double bed (1x160cm) in the bedroom. Two spring mattresses (2x80cm) on the loft. Sauna with separate entrance. In addition, in a separate building, one room with two beds (2x90cm) and a fireplace. This separate room is only recommended for summer use, as there is no backup heating in the room. Two outdoor slippers. Large and cozy BBQ house. Tenants bring their own towels and bed linen and daily consumables The hot tub in the yard is not included in the basic rental. Currently, a lot is broken so not to be used even for an additional fee. Guest access Available cottage, outdoor showers and barbecue hut. For an additional fee, you can rent a kayak for €25/day or a canoe (€50/day) in the summer. The hot tub is not in use for the time being, even at an additional cost (broken). Goods in the outdoor storage are not available to tenants. Other things to note Due to the remote location of the cottage, guests must bring their own towels and bedding (sheet, pillowcases, and duvet cover). IN WINTER, we recommend our own high-temperature sleeping bag. Sleep in dry, merino wool or synthetic undergarments, wool socks and a thin hat. IN SUMMER, we recommend foods that can be stored at room temperature. The gas fridge is very small. The tenant must take care of the careful cleaning of the cottage before departure. Use firewood wisely, firewood is very valuable in Lapland. When the fireplace is warm and absolutely burned out, close the damper to maintain heat. The big fireplace keeps the heat well. A smaller fireplace generates fast heat, use it if needed. The use of the generator also requires skill and patience from the tenant. Guests must bring their own fuels for the aggregate. The aggregate uses 98 petrol (about 5 liters). If you don't know how to use an aggregate, be prepared to live without electricity - that can also be a refreshing experience!
