Hosts are a retired lawyer/professor and a psychologist. Before that was Peace Corps (Venezuela), Wounded Knee, and other volunteer work. Rolf speaks Spanish. We have traveled widely and hiked extensively. We have lived in Ann Arbor for many years and can help you with local suggestions (markets, running/bike/ski trails, little known jazz events, yoga, Pilates, restaurants, local services). This is the center of the Old Westside, Ann Arbor's historic district. Just walking around the neighborhood is pleasant. We have huge black walnut trees around the property. The location is excellent. Jefferson Market and Washtenaw Dairy are a few minutes stroll from here. Just blocks away from Argos Farm Market, coffee shops, ice cream parlor, and downtown restaurants. Safe and beautiful neighborhood with tree lined streets. There is a park a few minutes away. WALKSCORE.com is over 80 for walking and over 60 for transit. If you take the Michigan Flyer from the airport, you can walk here from the Blake Transit station if you don't have much to carry. Call a cab or give us a call to see if we are free to pick you up. There is a bus stop nearby. Walk to downtown is suggested, really 10 minutes. Walk to stadium, downtown and central campus. This bathroom has a new shower fixture attached to a large claw foot tub. We have a separate bathroom, so if there are no guests in the other bedroom, you don’t have to share. Message me if you want to know if the other bedroom will be rented during your dates. In the large yard are black walnut trees, artesian made walnut swing, flowers, extensive professional landscaping. No cats (our sweet cat passed 5 years ago). There is a key to lock your room when you are away, but this is a very safe neighborhood.
