Luxury rustic woodshed only 20 minutes from Oxford

Unique rustic luxe cabin in a glade of silver birch trees. Filled with ever-changing light and looking out onto your own circle of trees you have the best of both worlds: a comfortable country retreat with a king sized bed, luxurious bed linen, roll top bath, fire pit, shower room, hand built kitchen, wood burner and fast wifi, but Oxford is 20 minutes and London an hour away. Whether you want a romantic break, a country retreat or a unique and accessible place to work you will be charmed! The space The woodshed was built by local craftsmen using many recycled materials. The huge windows and doors look out onto its own woodland glade which feels quite magical. It is totally wood-clad in and out which provides excellent insulation in both Winter and Summer. When the thick curtains are drawn and the burner is flickering it's incredibly peaceful. In warm weather you can open all the doors and enjoy the sun. There is a bedroom with king sized bed and gorgeous linen duvet so you can hunker down or sink into the bubbles in the roll top bath or enjoy a shower in your separate bathroom. There is a cosy living room with well- equiped kitchen, comfortable sofa and wood burner where you can watch films with the projector. There are books and games so you can switch off as much or as little you want. Enjoy the silvan setting and cosy retreat which really feels like time out. We try to use organic and local products and as far as possible such as Green and Spring bath wash and hand made soaps as well as local beer etc to stock your fridge. Whist you can live a simple outdoor life here, having your morning coffee in the trees, or cooking on the fire pit, there is a modern kitchen with an induction hob and built in oven, a Liebherr fridge freezer and a washer dryer and good wifi to connect you to the world too! Guest access You can park right by the woodshed and go through a gate into the private garden which is totally fenced. The property is accessed from the main road through a solar powered gate and down a long tree lined drive. Other things to note There are two sheds on the property, on opposite sides of the land so don't worry its definitely not crowded! Both are private and surrounded by their own garden or field. The Woodshed is more luxurious so if you want to stay for longer we would recommend this one as it has everything you would need. We don't allow dogs in the Woodshed but if you would like to bring your dog or dogs they are most welcome in Hamfield shed which is a converted alpaca shed. We are surrounded by farm land and about a mile from the road but in the Woodshed (on the northern side of the land) you might might hear some road, tractor or possibly noise from the hen sheds and soil recycling adjacent, but this does not operate every day, in the evenings or at weekends. Hamfield shed is further away and no one has ever noticed any noise other than owls or foxes! It is a rural area so be prepared for the beauty of nature and noises too. We have a slow electric charger at our house which you are welcome to use but please text ahead to arrange it. We use the ChargePoint app which shows all charging amounts and will ask for this as extra payment at the time of your stay.
