It is perfect for one-or two couples who not only want to enjoy the best views that Hacienda Alegria has to offer, but also want to have an experience that is more authentic and "open air". Upon entering the main entrance to the hacienda, one goes immediately up the stairs to the private gate to the El Ultimo Piso (“ the top floor”): The spacious and airy rooftop floor is equipped with two bedrooms. The master has a king-sized bed with an en-suite bathroom and shower and has two large traditional doors that open to the terrace with ocean, town, and jungle views. The architecture in this room is traditional in that it allows natural ventilation through the ceiling (but with netting to keep pests out) and therefore does not need air conditioning. Portable fans are available if needed and the beautiful wood bed frame is equipped with mosquito netting. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed, air conditioning, with large windows overlooking the jungle and there is a separate outdoor shower and bathroom just outside. The covered, but open-air kitchen has is fully equipped with a refrigerator, gas stove/oven, electric citrus juicer, coffee maker and grinder, toaster, and toaster oven. There is a built-in brick gas fireplace for an authentic barbecue. Round wood dining room table seats 4 and boasts some of the best views in La Manzanilla. The terrace is expansive, with gorgeous views of Tenacatita Bay and the surrounding hills of the jungle and is a perfect spot for groups to gather for yoga, socializing, and watching the sunset. To access the pool, one simply goes down two short flights of stairs. La Sección de la Piscina ( “The Pool Section”): This area encompasses one entire house lot in size, and has an 8m-long infinity pool, suitable for swimming laps. It is one of the largest, and one of the few heated pools in town, thus allowing for year-round enjoyment. There poolside kitchenette has large refrigerator, blender, sink, propane BBQ, and cabinets containing glasses, silverware, and plates to entertain. Rinse off under yet another outdoor shower and another bathroom is conveniently located steps from the pool. A thatched palapa housing a large round table and traditional chairs has its own fresh water dispenser and makes an ideal spot for a meal with an unforgettable view. Please note that there are two other rental units on the property and it is possible, but unlikely, that you will be sharing the pool area with other guests. Guest access Hacienda Alegria is a large, villa-like estate that may be rented out in its entirety, or each of the 3 private living areas may be rented out separately. When renting out this unit please understand that there may be other guests renting out the other units. Although you will not have access to the 2nd floor, the stairs from this top apartment lead down to the terrace of the first floor, where there may be guests, and therefore entry here is not allowed. The pool area with it's kitchen, hammock, sun loungers and palapa, as well as the plunge pool areas are shared spaces amongst all of the guests. Other things to note 1. As La Manzanilla is a quaint and remote seaside village, interruptions in power and water service can and do occur that are beyond the control of the property management. Thankfully, these are INFREQUENT, however if they occur during your stay we will do everything possible to make your stay pleasant but we can not be responsible for any refunds or discounts because of an outage. 2.
