Farmstay with Food -The Peacock @ Satya Jyoti farm

A lush 28 acre organic farm, 70km from Gurgaon, located at the foothills of the Aravalli...SATYA-JYOTI FARM is a haven for lovers of nature and the environment. This cottage, called PEACOCK, has 1 large room and enough space for 2 adults. We provide farm grown organic vegetarian meals which are INCLUDED in the tariff. Please read full farm details and then send the booking request with confirmation that you understand that SATYA JYOTI IS A REAL FARM AND NOT A HOTEL-LIKE RESORT. The space THE PEACOCK ROOM is a private room with an attached bath and toilet and a private walled courtyard and is adjoining the INDU HOUSE. The Main Kitchen/Dining is a few steps away. We provide farm grown organic vegetarian meals which are INCLUDED in the tariff. Guest access Guests can access all areas of the farm except other guest rooms. Other things to note SATYA JYOTI is a real, working farm and not a hotel-like suburban farmhouse. We charge per person per night rate of 1500/- for any individual (above the age of 5) for one night’s stay. If a child needs a separate bed, he/she is counted as an adult. If you are less than 3 persons and staying only for one night then it is Rs.2000/- per person per night. For 4 or more persons, the rate of 1500/- applies for one night stay. Food on the farm is essentially vegetarian. Breakfast is generally Fruits, Poha or Aloo Parathas, Lunch and Dinner is Tandoori Roti, Daal, Vegetable, Salad, Rice. We provide farm grown organic vegetarian meals which are INCLUDED in the tariff. If you wish to have something Non-vegetarian, please take your own supplies along. You can use the kitchen to heat up the food. Please take snacks and cold drinks etc as the nearest shop is a couple of kilometers away. We have only one refrigerator at the farm hence cooling space is limited. Please bring your own iceboxes along for anything you want chilled. Accommodation: Rooms are clean but rustic. Cottages/rooms have ceiling fans and desert coolers. Each cottage/room has 1 attached bathroom. The INDU House has 1 double and 2 single beds (this is closest to the kitchen and dining area). This is the only room with a window AC. THE PEACOCK ROOM Has a Double bed and a fireplace and an attached bathroom along with an enclosed garden courtyard. The ORANGE (is close to INDU HOUSE) has a double bed (Desert Cooler) The INDIGO cottage is in a quiet corner and has 2 doubleS and 1 single bed on 2 levels (Total occupancy: 6) it has a Desert Cooler and is approximately 100m away from the dining area and INDU COTTAGE. There is one bathroom on each level. The GATE HOUSE (3 single beds/Desert Cooler) are close to each other near the entrance driveway and are at least 250m away from the dining area and the INDU COTTAGE. In view of your group size and availability, we try to give you a suitable cottage for your required dates. -Being an agricultural area, electricity supply is first given for running farm motors, hence domestic supply is erratic. We do have inverters in every room and also a generator so there will always be a light and fan working in every hut in case of a power cut. -Please do take adequate supply of mosquito repellents for outdoor use. All cottages have mosquito proof mesh on the windows. Please keep the main door closed to keep out flying creature, specially 5-8pm. -If you wish to swim in the bio pool then take your swim-wear. You must sign in the disclaimer register before swimming. Once it gets too cold to swim we close the Pool for the season, which is usually end November to February end. -Our farm hands speak Hindi and a limited amount of English. You can arrive anytime after 11am and will need to leave by 10am on day of departure. -Our water supply is the underground water which we filter for drinking. You may want carry some mineral water bottles...just in case -We do not have television or internet on the farm. If you have a wifi dongle of 4g then you may receive signal at some points, JIO works quite well. -Consumption of personal alcohol is not a problem as long as guests remain responsible. -There is scrabble, bingo etc to play with family.
