Ruru Lodge named after the resident night owls and is set amongst 13 acres of rolling farmland and mature woodland. The Lodge provides high quality accommodation, warm hospitality, sumptuous continental breakfast and spectacular views of Kinloch Village, Lake Taupo and the sacred mountains of Tongariro in the distance. The space The Lodge is only 15 minute easy rural drive to Taupo township and 3 minutes to Kinloch Village. The Lodge is set amongst mature woodland and rolling farmland of alpacas, rare breed ducks and miniature highland cattle. Guests have access to the whole property and close contact is possible with the hand reared animals with host supervision. The Lodge provides high quality accommodation, warm hospitality, ample parking space and is only a few minutes from the lake edge, the Jack Nicklaus International Golf Course , a casual Golf Course, world class walking and mountain bike tracks as well as charming Kinloch Village with its restaurant/cafe and general store. Guest access You will have access to the guest wing, where there is - 1 master bedroom (super-king bed or two king singles) with an en suite - 1 queen room - 1 twin room the latter two bedrooms share a bathroom. This also includes a private outdoor area. Guests also have access to the living area, laundry facilities and outdoor living. Guests will also have their own fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. There is ample parking on site for multiple cars/ boats etc. This place is ideal for families and adult groups. During your stay Having lived in the Taupo region for over 30 years, hosts Renee and Ian have a wealth of knowledge and information of the area that they are happy to share with you. Your privacy is guaranteed but guests are more than welcome to enjoy their home and lifestyle farm with their extended family of alpacas, miniature highland cattle, rare breed ducks, family cat and dogs.
