This 2 bedroom apartment is only a short stroll from the cafés and restaurants of Ponsonby Road, with a supermarket just around the corner. Walk to the city centre, enjoy the night life of Ponsonby, or jump on the motorways which are only minutes away. Set up with everything you need and including a secure garage carpark, it is a great base from which to enjoy Auckland. The space The open plan living room combines with two bedrooms and a newly renovated bathroom to offer a comfortable base for your Auckland stay. Complete with one secure garage carpark - no searching/paying for expensive parking! The open plan living area is well laid out with a relaxing couch area, TV and dining table opening onto the outdoor courtyard. The kitchen has everything you need, from champagne glasses to crockery - and the more practical things such as 4 gas hobs, microwave and a dishwasher drawer. There is plenty of cooking equipment and kitchen basics such as cooking oil, herbs and spices, and salt and pepper, as well as various teas and coffee. (Or find plenty of takeaways, cafes and restaurants just minutes walk away) The main bedroom opens out onto the courtyard and has a comfortable queen size bed for the most important thing - a good nights sleep! And quality linens, fluffy towels, toiletries, hairdryer etc. are all provided. There's also a TV in this room and a large wardrobe. The smaller bedroom has a king single bed, desk and wardrobe. (This bedroom has shutters to the main living area, and a window to let light in only) The newly renovated bathroom is compact but lovely, with a high pressure rain shower and never-ending hot water. There is a laundry with washers and dryers in the building basement, and help yourself to laundry powder. (The washing/drying machines cost $2 to use and take $2 coins only. For stays of a week or more I'll leave you a few to get started, otherwise just ask) There is lift access via an old but reliable lift, and of course unlimited fast wifi :) Easy self check in with a smart lock, and the carpark is accessed by a garage remote (lockbox) I'll leave you to it, but if there's any problems I am Auckland based so send me a message and I or my husband are on hand to help. Other things to note This is an older converted apartment building of 14 units, and is not perfectly soundproofed. You don't get much traffic noise which is a plus, but you'll likely hear some general 'people noise' from neighbours or from the courtyard outside. (The courtyard has a large divider so it's private; the next door apartment opens up to the other side of it) I didn't find it an issue when I lived here and I like quiet, but good to be aware of if you are sensitive to noise.
