Balnarring Beach Nature Nook

This spacious self-contained, ground-level unit is nestled downstairs of our family home in a quiet pocket of town just back from the beach. Rinse off the sand in your own HOT outdoor shower (indoor bathroom also!), store bikes/kayaks/boards undercover, peaceful slumber in natural fibres, lounge room space and patio with intimate fire drum, all 700m walk to National Parks and beautiful beaches. Koalas, stumpy tail lizards and wonderful birdlife. All access. NB: NbN - WIFI now connected!! The space Bright, clean and spacious coastal accomodation with the relaxed rustic charm Balnarring is known for. Kitchenette has new toaster and kettle, bar fridge, microwave and toasted sandwich grill, electric plug in hot plate and BBQ all for your use (slow cooker available on request). Easy parking access for packing and unpacking. All pillows and bedding are natural fibre - wool/cotton/bamboo - and cleaning products are non-toxic. Super comfortable bed for a great night's sleep. Organic veggies are grown here, the neighbourhood is quiet. Possums, sugar gliders, koalas, the odd blue tongue as well as many beautiful birds reside here. The Tulum General Store is an 8 minute stroll for your morning coffee. Horses gallop here along the beach each morning (worth getting up for!) . Coolart Wetlands (NP) tracks are a few minutes walk from your door. Our quaint Balnarring Village has all that you will need to make this your quiet base to explore all the Mornington Peninsula has to offer. NB: A child could be accommodated on mattress. Guest access This suite is downstairs of our main house, with a blocked, locked internal door and sound reduction materials that meet the kitchenette/study nook of your suite. Expect a little sound transference from the kitchen spaces, though we are often out and about. You will have two entrances to come and go via one side of the house privately, including private, shady patio, outdoor shower and storage shed (or woodwork/artist messy table), clothesline for your beach wear and washing (yes, there is a washing machine!) as well as a second patio off the bedroom that is screened for privacy, with a BBQ and table and chairs to enjoy the evenings. LGTBQI+ and all ability friendly - please let me know how we can support you. Children are on the property at times depending on your time of booking - just ask. Other things to note NbN is here at last! so reception is now GREAT. The TV is large but standard, with DVD player and USB port (not phone compatible). There are DVD's to peruse as well as books and games. The nature nook offers a simple place of respite, a chance to slow down. There are great restaurants but not much nightlife in our town, more like sunset walks on the beach… Heat/Cool: In summer this space stays wonderfully cool until late in the day and ocean breezes & a pedestal fan keep it cool on summer evenings. Two bar heaters are available for colder nights and pure wool blankets can be found in the bedroom cupboard. Highly recommend closing back room curtains after 3pm if the temperature is high.
