Description

A unique escape to a private island. Perfect if you love the outdoors and want to try something different. This is a charming floating cabin in a small bay on an eleven acre island. Your host lives on the mainland, minutes away by motorboat. A kayak or canoe will be provided on request. A great lake for fishing with swimming on the island's north side. The small town of Sydenham is a short boat ride away. A 100 km hiking and biking trail runs the length of the northside of the island. The space There is a loft that will sleep two and a single bed at ground level. The floor space including the 6 foot deck is 24ft by 12 feet across. There are two burners for cooking as well as a bbg on shore. There is also a biodegradable toilet and firepit, unlimited wood and camping available. Guest access You will have exclusive use of the cabin and shoreline access by a dock to the mainland. Other things to note This is an off grid floating cabin on an uninhabited island. It has all the attractions and pitfalls of the great outdoors. The owner will give you a ride there and back from his home on the mainland where you can leave a car and a trailer during your stay. The trip is approximately 10 minutes one way. Drinking water and basic staples will be provided.
