Four season log cabin in the heart of the Adirondack High Peaks region. The cabin is a 7 acre private retreat next to a beautiful stream that flows down from Cascade Lake. Both Porter and Cascade Mountain trail heads are .2 mile away and are on the 46 High Peaks register. We are close to hiking adventures of all abilities with biking trails, fishing, swimming, canoeing and in the Winter, downhill and cross-country ski activities. The cabin is very private and just a few feet from the Cascade Brook. In the Summer the stream has a moderate flow, easy to explore and a natural 4 foot deep rock pool. Take in the scenery from our wrap around deck or screened in summer porch. There is a gas grill, an over sized picnic table and a stone firepit to enjoy at night. Bring your S'mores and pick up your camp wood sold along the roadside, Stewards Gas Stations and local grocery stores. The cabin has one queen bedroom; a walk through sleeping area with one twin; living room with a queen sleeper sofa & twin futon; 2 roll out cots; and a low ceiling sleeping loft with ladder access to a twin and full bed. The loft is limited to adults who can lean over and the younger campers love it! We have a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, bathroom, laundry room with washer and dryer, a wall unit heat/AC combo, electric base board heat and a living room propane fireplace. A well behaved dog and considerate pet owners are welcome!
