Our home is a year-round, waterfront house on Claytor Lake, VA. This is our primary residence and is fully equipped for comfortable living! The 3bed 1.75 bath house is newly updated and features open concept living with 14' vaulted ceilings, a large deck overlooking the water, and a swim dock. The space Open concept living room/kitchen has 14 foot ceilings and a peninsula with seating for 4, as well as a central island. The house overlooks beautiful twin coves on Claytor Lake, and has a lot of glass for various views of the lake and surrounding open spaces. Kitchen is fully equipped. Bamboo or laminate flooring throughout, with exception of downstairs bedroom which is carpeted. The upper sunroom off the kitchen is surrounded by windows and houses a dining area (seating for up to 8 with table leaf inserted), sectional seating area, and has sliders out to a deck overlooking the lake. The lower sunroom overlooks the lake and has a home office desk space. The 3rd bedroom is off the lower sunroom (6 steps down from main level), overlooks the lake, and has a desk and a double bed. Up only 8 steps up from the main living area is the full bathroom at the top of the stairs and two bedrooms. The main bathroom has a new soaking tub with shower and tile surround, washer/dryer, linen closet and updated finishings. The master bedroom offers views of the lake and distant mountains, and features a bed with a queen size memory foam mattress and an en suite bath with custom walk in shower. The second bedroom has a twin bed and a new full size pullout couch. Walk down to the water where you can dock your boat! We have an upper dock which is nice for sitting and watching sunset, and lower docks for swimming, sitting, and boating. Guest access The entire house is open to guests with the exception of the garage and some locked cabinets/closets, however since this is our home, our personal belongings will be present. Hanging closets are used by owners, but may have full or partial space available. The docks are available for your use at your own risk but the boat lifts are not to be used. Please no boats larger than 20' on the floating dock. Guests assume all responsibility for use and liability to their own boats. Sorry, our insurance does not allow guest use of any of our boats or watercraft that may be present. Other things to note We welcome families however please note that our house is not completely "child-proofed," and the property has many steps, water access points, windows, decks, and deep water right from the water's edge which is not fenced off. There is a swim ladder on the floating dock to facilitate fun swimming and floating. We do ask that you strip linens before leaving and leave the home swept and generally clean. Sorry, we do not have TV, however we do have WIFI. We do have a small TV with DVD player and a selection of DVDs, but no cable service. We recommend bringing your own movies, Firestick/Roku, and/or going into town to Sharkeys to watch the game on the big screen(s)! There are boat launches across the lake both in and near the Claytor Lake State Park, as well as further up the lake at DeHaven park.
