Other things to note Our Cottage is 25 km from Porto, where you can enjoy a walk in the historical center of Porto and the Porto wines in Gaia (I am happy to send you a list of interesting sites/activities and restaurants in Porto if you are interested). Near the house, there are many hiking trails, cycle paths, and an equestrian center. Nearby, you can also visit the archaeological site of the citânia de Sanfins (4km) and the castro of Monte Padrão (3km), then relax at the thermal baths of Vizela (15km). You will find several restaurants, cafes and supermarkets in Cabanas. Lovers of traditional gastronomy can enjoy the Tasquinha A Lanterna and the Cozinha da Avó, which offer delicious traditional dishes in a family atmosphere. In Santo Tirso (8 km), you can taste the famous traditional Jesuit confectionery at the Pastelaria Confeitaria Moura, visit the superb São Bento Monastery and the famous International Museum of Contemporary Sculpture. We also suggest you taste the vinho verde (green wine) produced at Quinta de Gomariz, in Sequeirô, and the liquor of Singeverga, produced by the Benedictine monks of the Roriz Monastery. Without forgetting the delicious blueberries from Quinta da Hortelã in Monte Córdova. For lovers of flea markets, do not miss the Feiras Francas market (feira da ladra) in Paredes.
