The Tiny House Experience

A unique experience awaits you in our cozy tiny house set back in the cedars. The lake is just steps from your front door where you can sit on the dock or canoe and kayak on the quiet inland lake. It is rustic tiny living, yet equipped with enough modern amenities to make your stay an enjoyable one. We welcome guests to bring friendly dogs and we expect that our guests will welcome the attention you will get from our dogs as well. The space Guests can experience lakeside tiny house living. Everything you need is packed into a small cozy space. We have a rain catchment system, so there is cold running water for washing in kitchen and bathroom. Kitchen has dishes, pots, coffee maker, kettle, air fryer, microwave, toaster, space heater, tv dvd player etc. Guests should bring their own drinking water. The toilet is a Sunmar composting toilet and is contained within the tiny house. The tiny house has a unique outdoor shower room with towels supplied. I can supply bedding or you can bring your own for the queen size loft bed. Let me know your choice prior to arrival. We do not have WiFi. We have friendly dogs on the property that will want to visit you, so if you don't like dogs this is not the place for you. Many hiking trails within a short distance or you can just enjoy your time by the water's edge. Guests must be able to climb the steps up to loft bedroom, therefore not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The loft bedroom has a queen size bed and there is a sofa in the living area that could accommodate one smaller person (child). During winter months access is limited depending on snowfall amount and we cannot guarantee running water. Guest access Guests will have use of the tiny house, shower room, yard, fire pit, and waterfront access to deck, kayak and canoe. Your hostess lives in the main house so may be around the property during your stay, but your privacy will be totally respected unless you have questions. Other things to note You will notice I do not charge cleaning fees. I do vacuum, dust and put fresh linens prior to your arrival. However, If you want it professionally cleaned let me know ahead of time - those fees would have to be added to your price. Mobility restriction - must be physically able to climb steps to loft bedroom. Dogs may be on the property but are both extremely friendly. I have a couple older bicycles that you can use if you enjoy biking. Let me know if you want to use them and I will leave them out for you.
