Unwind and enjoy being close to town, surf, and everything Whāingaroa-Raglan has on offer. Watch the sunset from the deck, cozy up in front of the fire, chill out in a vintage-styled space or grab a flat white from the cafe from around the corner before wandering down to the harbour. The perfect surfer’s retreat on the west side of the one-way bridge, just a quick drive to Whale Bay. A great spot for kids! And pets are welcome! The space Te Āka Raukura is perfect for a relaxed family holiday - we have a queen bed, double bed, single bed, and single loft bed. Also there’s a travel cot available on request. Quality cotton bed linen, bath towels, and beach towels are provided. Enjoy the deck, view of Karioi, wood burner* to keep you cozy in the winter, rain-head shower, BBQ, firepit, highchair, skateboards, bike, lots of books, puzzles and games. If you need to veg in front of the TV, just log-in to your streaming accounts (Netflix etc) with our Amazon Firestick. All the kitchen essentials are on hand in our galley kitchen: oven, stovetop, kettle, fridge, pots, pans, and a selection of coffee makers because we love coffee. There’s also basic pantry items, oil, ground coffee, and a selection of tea. * PLEASE NOTE: We do our best to keep firewood available, but can't guarantee a year-round supply. You can purchase your own firewood from the supermarket in town. Otherwise we have plenty of electric heaters to keep you warm in the winter. Guest access You'll have full access to the main house. The back door (by the bathroom) is an emergency exit only. Please do not use the back garden. We are building a separate studio on that side of the house with its own entrance and driveway. That area is private and not included in the booking. Other things to note This property has a 3pm check-in time. If the house is ready earlier, we will happily message you and let you know on the day. Booking must be made by the named guests staying. Our house sleeps 6 max. Additional charges will apply if you exceed the number booked. Our house is not suited to groups of people who come to Raglan to party. Please no large gatherings or illegal activity. Events are not allowed without prior arrangements. This includes birthday parties and wedding celebrations. Our house is in a residential neighborhood, and we have neighbors with young children. Noise curfew from 10pm to 9am. Our home is best suited for families or small groups who want to stay in a safe and quiet neighbourhood. All linen and towels are included in the nightly rate.
