The space This recently refurbished, spacious basement flat is set within a Victorian semi-detached house on a beautiful, quiet residential street in Redland. You enter from the garden gate, down the garden path and a short flight of stairs and through a private basement front door into a large living space. The living room features a large corner sofa, large flat-screen TV with sound bar, table football and dart board. In the corner is a kitchenette with a Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine, a kettle, a mini-fridge and microwave. We provide plenty of Yorkshire Gold teabags, a selection of Nespresso pods and Pukka herbal teas. In the fridge you will find three bottles of filtered water for drinking/filling up the coffee machine and kettle. Mugs, glasses, cutlery and crockery are provided. Please note this is not a full kitchen but is the perfect space for preparing hot drinks and breakfast and heating ready meals. An open doorway leads through the basement hallway, past a private shower room and toilet, to the large bedroom with bay window overlooking the front garden. The king-size bed has a very comfortable memory-foam mattress topper, feather-filled duvet and pillows and a dual-control heated blanket to ensure you have a luxurious and warm night's sleep. Large White Company towels are provided. The flat is ideal for 1-2 people. Guest access Self-contained flat with own front door Self-check-in 3pm onwards Check out 10am Suitable for arriving late / leaving early if required as we have a key safe Other things to note – Shared space: We very much leave guests to themselves and sometimes don't see them for their entire stay. But please note that the house's utility room, where our family laundry is done, as well as a store room, are both also in the basement. These rooms are accessed by the host from a door in our ground-floor hallway (always locked and bolted when guests are staying), down the stairs to the basement corridor and are for our private use only. If we need to use the utility room or the store room, we will always message guests in advance to arrange a suitable time for us to access them, usually when guests are out and during the day. – Please note there is no sink in the kitchenette. The kettle and coffee machine can be filled from the bottles of filtered water provided in the fridge. If these run out just send us a message and we will happily re-fill them. Washing-up can be done in the bathroom basin if you wish. There is washing-up liquid, a sponge and tea towel in the vanity unit drawer. – There are some stairs down to the property's front door. – Parking: Many parts of Bristol are resident permit holders only (along with sections of pay and display). Parking on our road and surrounding roads is resident permit holders only 9am-5pm Monday to Friday (free before 9am and after 5pm on weekdays, and all weekend). There is also a generous amount of pay and display parking on our street, with machines that cost £1.70 per hour with a maximum stay of 3 hours. Each year we receive a limited supply of daily visitor permits. We can arrange these for you and just need your vehicle reg number to book this on the app and can send you a proof of booking. – As this is a basement flat, the mobile phone signal can be intermittent. Wifi calls solve this. – Bins: There is a bin in every room, but please feel free to make use of the bins in the driveway - for recycling and general waste. – Toilet: Do not flush anything except toilet roll and human waste down the toilet. We have a macerator and flushing baby/facial wipes, tampons, sanitary towels, kitchen roll, condoms or wrapper down the toilet will break the macerator. The minimum charge to clear the blockage, repair the unit and reinstall is £250. – No use of the garden – No parties – No noisy guests – No smoking
