Wildwood Cottage, In the Heart of Devon

Wildwood Cottage is set in a tranquil, 3/4 acre garden which is enclosed by natural woodland and countryside. In a peaceful, rural area of outstanding natural beauty. Perfect for recharging your batteries! Ideally located, we are 20 minutes from Dartmoor, the Cornish border and our local Towns of Okehampton and Launceston. The cottage is within easy reach of both north and south Devon beaches. Much closer to home is Roadford Lake for a variety of water sports. The space Wildwood Cottage is set back from a quiet leafy lane, via a 5 bar gate, with ample private, secure parking for 4 vehicles. The cottage has two double bedrooms, a single bedroom with a cot, and a dedicated work study. The Cottage welcomes babies, toddlers and children, (our grandchildren love it here!) we have a lovely child's bedroom, and we are fully equipped with stair gate, high chair, childrens crockery and cutlery. There are plenty of childrens books for bedtime stories and garden toys, including trikes and a large paddling pool. Freshly laundered bedding, towels and robes are provided. The kitchen/diner is a social hub. It seats 6 to 8 people comfortably and is fully equipped with everything you need for a home from home, including washing machine, dryer, induction hob, fan oven and coffee machine. Hot beverages and a complimentary bottle of fizz are here for you on your arrival! We have a dedicated study available for you. It comes equipped with a printer and WiFi connectivity with internet (with variable signal strength, due to remote location.) The cottage also offers secure storage for bikes, water leisure and other outdoor equipment. We have two bathrooms; soap, shampoo and shower gel are complimentary. The Rayburn and log burner (logs are provided) are so cosy in cooler weather; books, games and Smart TV's are here for your indoor relaxation. Outside, the large garden is completely secure and private. It has a magical feeling of peace and is perfect to sit and watch the sun go down and the stars come out! We have a large BBQ, with several outdoor seating areas and a fire pit. Surrounded by beautiful woodland and countryside, walks on the doorstep and so many adventures to be made, I'm sure you will be wanting to return, again and again. Guest access It's a self check in and out, but we are available to help if needed. Secure private parking for 4 vehicles. Secure storage available.
