During season (Jan-April) watch momma whales and their calves jumping in the Aguada bay right from this house’s ocean view perch. Breathtaking sunsets every evening here year round (direct between April-Sept). This spacious, comfortable home is great to spread out in and relax, surrounded by all the peace and tranquility that the tropics has to offer. Private saltwater pool with incredible ocean view just for you. The space The house is about a 3 minute drive to the beach. You can also walk to the beach, keeping in mind that the neighborhood is a little hilly so it’s not a flat walk (not hard if you are in semi-decent shape). Walking to the waters edge takes about 7-10min. The beach closest to the house is great for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, and when swell comes in, surfing! It’s a great beach for beachcombers, shell/seaglass collectors, sunset/sunrise walkers, or people who just want to lay in the sun and take a dip to cool off every now and then. The house comes stocked with beach equipment of all types like: folding beach chairs, folding umbrellas, beach towels, cooler, and more. You are renting the entire house which consists of two separate apartments (upper and lower) connected by an outdoor, covered staircase. The upper apartment is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom space with large kitchen, large living room, sunroom, and exits out onto the back patio with direct access to the pool, ocean view, and bbq area. Sleeps 10. The lower apartment is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom space with a small (but complete) kitchen, living room, and access to the pool area via staircase. Sleeps 6. Whole house comfortably sleeps 16. Back yard has a saltwater pool, ocean view, bbq grill, covered patio with outdoor furniture, parking for 2 cars but can accommodate more if stacked. Whole house has beautiful vistas of the ocean or hillside. Also with 45 solar panels and 3 Tesla Power Walls you can feel good knowing you are using clean, sustainable energy while staying with us. And if the lights go out (which happens often on the island) you won’t be in the dark. House also has 1400 gallons of cistern water on reserve for the frequent outages experienced on the island. **Always disclose and discuss any and all plans with host. Large or small. No unauthorized events, parties, etc allowed. Additional fees and deposits will apply for pre-approved events that exceed the number of guests the unit sleeps, for events that bring in outside catering, decorating, wait staff, etc… or other factors. Guest access You have access to the whole house and property. There are no shared spaces with anyone but your group. The Bnb is close to lots of restaurants, bars, and swimmable beachfront. Also very close to downtown Aguada (3-5min drive) where there is shopping, dining, and the historic town square where many local events are often held. Please watch your children and remember that you are renting this property at your own risk. ⚠️ Since we are on a hill our driveway is on an incline. The top of the driveway where you park is flat, but you will need to back down the hill to reach the street. There is also street parking available. Also, we are just 30 minutes from Aguadilla airport so consider flying into this airport as opposed to San Juan which is a 3 hour drive from our location. Washer and drier available on the back patio of upstairs apartment. ⚠️ Be aware that there are lots of speed bumps on the road leading to our bnb. A few that can creep up on you and are not very visible. Drive with caution. ⚠️ Take note that Puerto Rico has frequent power and water outages due to deteriorating infrastructure on the island. We have two water cisterns totaling 1400 gallons, and solar power with battery backup for these instances, but even these have their limitations. We do our best to keep everyone comfortable, but no refunds will be issued for power/water outages that happen frequently and unexpectedly. Please keep in mind that this is also our private home, not “just another Airbnb”. We live here when you’re not renting it. We appreciate that you be aware of this when staying with us.
