Description

Welcome to the Tree Hütte! Our 1969, mid-century chalet has been given a mountain modern update and is ready for your next getaway. Rustic and modern, meets camp vibes in the trees. Cozy 1100+ sq ft cabin is nestled in the trees in a quiet cul-de-sac in highly desirable Moonridge. 3 bedroom, 1 bath, with level driveway. The large lot provides plenty of space, outdoor deck, trees, + your own private sledding hill. Just a short drive to the new zoo, Bear mountain resort, hiking, biking, & more. The space Follow along on IG @tree.hütte and tag us! At the Tree Hütte you’ll feel as if you have escaped to a hide out in the trees, yet you are just minutes from all that Big Bear has to offer. Explore the hiking and biking trails, 4 minutes to Bear Mountain, 5 minutes to the golf course and zoo, 10 minutes to Big Bear Lake and the Village. Relax and breathe in the tall pines from our newly built private deck, with a peek-a-boo view of Big Bear Lake. The spacious 0.3 acre lot is filled with trees and creates a natural feeling of privacy. Enjoy your own private sledding hill or space for exploring in the trees right in our sloped backyard. During warmer months, you can relax in our hammock chair in the backyard looking out into the pines. Cozy up with a blanket in the open living room with vaulted ceilings and large windows, light the gas fireplace, kick back and put on a record from our curated record collection. Chill out and turn on the smart TV and enjoy your favorite Disney + or Netflix show or movie. The kitchen is stocked with all that you'll need to make your favorite recipes - just bring your ingredients and get cooking. Enjoy your meal at the table that comfortably seats 4 or at the bar with 4 bar stools or dine al fresco on our outdoor picnic table on the deck. The cabin has three bedrooms. Two master bedrooms downstairs on the main level, each with a queen-sized bed, vaulted ceilings and large windows that look out into the trees. The third bedroom upstairs is the kids room, with 4 built-in twin beds and our collection of vintage and new games and puzzles. It might be our favorite room in the cabin. Kids and adults alike can snuggle up, do a puzzle, and play a board game. We also have a pack n play, if needed. Please note: the cabin can accommodate a maximum of 6 guests, this includes infants. We do not have A/C, most mountain homes up here don't. If you open up the windows, due to our location, the cabin gets a nice cross breeze. We have a ceiling fan upstairs and portable fans to use in the warmer months. For us going to Big Bear is about escaping, exploring, and taking in the beauty of the mountains. It's about slowing down, getting cozy, and making memories. Perfect for a romantic getaway, a family retreat, or a solo adventurist. Escape the city and come stay with us! We want the Tree Hütte to be your home away from home in the mountains. Guest access You will have access to the whole cabin and property, with the exception of the locked cabinets/closets where we keep supplies. Believe us, you aren't missing out. There is a level driveway with space for 2 vehicles. There is no parking allowed on the streets in Big Bear, so be sure to use the designated driveway to park. Other things to note The weather in Big Bear is unpredictable and always changing. We recommend you check the weather when you are planning your stay. During winter months, the mountain roads get icy and tire chains are required and 4WD or AWD vehicles are recommended. Please be sure to be prepared, be extra careful on the roads, and always carry tire chains. If tire chains aren’t required to get up the mountain, we still recommend that you carry them as the roads on the mountain can be steep and icy. We recommend arriving before dark to make it safely up the mountain and to the cabin. Registration Details 2021-0073
