Limerick Forest Retreat | Luxury Camping Geodome

A unique getaway nestled on the edge of Limerick forest, this 4-season geodesic dome is perfect for any outdoor enthusiast. Enjoy a luxury glamping experience for two while surrounded by nature on a private lane. Located less than one hour south of Ottawa, you can escape the busyness of the city and take in the peaceful, calming sounds of outdoor living. With easy car access to the picturesque towns of Kemptville and Merrickville, you are never too far from all that you need. The space The interior of the dome is designed for all your glamping needs. It includes a queen bed, dining and lounge areas, a cooler for food, baker's rack for food preparation as well as collapsible sink for washing dishes. Hang all your belongings in the front entrance nook, and store any extra items in the cabinet behind the bed. The 20ft dome is heated by the propane heaters inside. The dome deck allows for dining outside in warmer months, with propane camping stove provided for outdoor cooking, as well as a private firepit with firewood. ​The heated bathroom and outdoor shower are detached from the dome. Please note that the shower is open only during warmer seasons which typically includes late spring, summer and early fall. It remains inaccessible when temperatures start to reach freezing. The compostable toilet, however, is functional all year round. Situated next to Limerick forest, there are many motorized and non-motorized activities permitted within the approximately 180kms of mapped trails. The forest contains 30km of groomed snowmobile trails. Enjoy activities like hiking, mountain or road biking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, bird watching, snowmobiling, dirt biking and ATV-ing during your stay at Limerick Forest Retreat. Snowshoes are provided in order for you to enjoy a snowshoe directly on the property. Hop in the car and arrive at the beach within a 25 minute drive from the dome. Limerick Forest Retreat has all you need for a perfect getaway in any season! Guest access Situated on privately owned land near Limerick Forest, you will enter the property through a private driveway just west of the listed road address. There is plenty of room to park your car or any equipment including snowmobiles, motorbikes, and mountain or road bikes. Other things to note OUTDOOR SHOWER AND SINK Functional only in warmer temperatures (typically late spring, summer, early fall). There is no running water in the dome itself.
