Our dreamy, fully equipped private studio apartment and adjacent garden nestled in the Historic Church Hill neighborhood is an ideal retreat for a couple or solo traveler looking for close proximity to The River City but want a quieter feel. Be at ease with free street parking, fast wifi, an airy interior, outfitted kitchen, and a secluded green terrace. Within a 15 min walk are top-notch restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, bars, provisions stores, salons, the post office, and four parks. The space The high ceilings, blend of antique and new furnishings, grand four-poster queen bed, updated three-quarter bath, cotton sheets and towels, room darkening shades, fully equipped (though modest) kitchen, Roku TV, and private fully fenced garden terrace with a patio table and chairs all make one feel instantly at home in this cozy wing of our 1880’s brick townhouse. Guest access Guests have private access to the entire studio apartment and connected patio & garden. Other things to note - Located near vibrant Shockoe Bottom District (5 min drive), Main Street Train Station (5 min drive), The Virginia Capital Trailhead (5 min bike ride), the VCU hospital system (5 min drive), airport (15 min drive), and downtown & VCU (10-15 min drive) - Street parking is the only parking option, and it’s free. - Alternative transportation options: city bikes (RVA Bike Share), Richmond city bus system (GRTC), Uber, Lyft, scooters, private taxi companies - The apartment is connected to a larger, occupied home but the entrance is through a private, street-accessible side gate. - Some steps are required to access the terrace, the apartment, and there is a step down into the bathroom. - We welcome well behaved pets and make accommodations for them (extra towels, bowls, and a couch cover), but they are not allowed in/on the bed. Please let us know if you plan on bringing your pet and add them to your reservation. - Church Hill is a diverse urban neighborhood. While our area is fairly safe and we’ve personally never experienced anything negative here, please keep aware of surroundings and take the same precautions as one would in any city, anywhere.
