The impressive mansion, now referred to as Lüdersburg Castle, dates back to an old, medieval castle. The town of Lüdersburg itself was once a small knight's estate, to which owners probably also return to the building of the castle. On the foundations of the castle - probably it was demolished due to decay or had already disappeared to the foundations - in 1776 the current Lüdersburg Castle was finally built.
