2 Private Cabins The whole group or family will be comfortable in this spacious and unique space that combines 2 cabins, The Mill House & Stone House, into one joint dwelling bridged with a grand screened porch living area/dining/fireplace. This private, rare and tranquil oasis has 1600 ft of river frontage that wraps around you in a tall nature envelope. Enjoy its history, amenities and river time between trips to nearby Highlands, Franklin and Cashiers. Located off of Scenic Byway 64. The space As you enter the property, the river beckons you as it spills around damn and over boulders. A quick peek of the home and a bottle of wine and you find yourself smack dab beside the river comfortably sat in the teak furniture and table for dinner or cheeses. You may be there till dusk! Or you may be there grilling into the night with the lights and sitting around a large firepit enjoying all this property has to offer. The Main MILL HOUSE has a Queen Bredroom Ensuite. An open area just outside the bedroom and off of the living that has two sets of twins beds tucked like trundle day bed but can be moved around) its view is also of the private screened porch high off the ground that is accessed only from within the home. Both have views of the river. And a leather sofa and extra blankets and pillows. The main house also has a high loft with a full sized Queen mattress perfect for that teen and nagivated only by an agile capable person due to tall built-in loft ladder. Main house MILL HOUSE has all the conveniences of a wonderfully stocked chalet complete with half bath, laundry room, kitchen dining table, wood burning fireplace in living room and chefs kitchen. Covered porches connect the magnificient and grand screened porch with dinning for 10, a comfortable and spacious seating area for 7 around huge stone woodburning fireplace. Has christmas tree, large propane heater, ceiling fan and lots of lighting chooses to facilitate the occasion. Following that you arrive to the unique and historic STONE HOUSE cabin. The original stone house used for the operations of the mill. It is a thick concrete and stone structure that is perfectly laid out with a full bath, kitchenette, living room area and Queen Bed. It also has a leather sofa for that extra adult or child you want to keep close or add the provided full sized air mattress if needed. Porch and stone house sit directly above and overhanging the river! This gem of a find is powerful for finding that peace and tranquility we all so seek. With its own private screened porch and because it is angled away from the main house and living areas, guests can leave their doors open for that perfect river and mountain breeze to blow in for the full effect of river meets mountains and yet feel private from the other group. In the evenings, all can be invited over to your porch and cards or games can be played around the glass top tables while others lounge and enjoy the views and sounds. Most will find themselves gravitating to the middle outside deck area where the trees rise far above you and the mill waterfall directly below. Just a wonderfull spot with nature and a hummingbirds favorite deck as well. Behind the expansive home is an amazimg mossy garss yard, perfect for a game or croquet, watching the kiddos run around and play silliness or just a leasure walk with the family in a large circle path that brings one out front, down a mossy slope path to the biggest screen porch or draws you down to the river edge and hundred yards of river front to explore or fish. A walk over onto peninsula brings you to a wonderful fishing hole or swim hole. River towels provided :) Plenty of parking both in the 2 to 3 spaces out front by the dog walking area, 2 spaces at front side of home and countless spaces up the hill at other home owned as well but not utilized. This is an almost 9 acre property with over 1600 ft of river frontage. Thats over 500 yds of a fishermans' dream. Guest access Perfect for the extened family wanting to all be in the same location but have private spaces. Entire home and surrounding property and river. Main House MILL HOUSE Queen bedroom 2 twin beds...twin daybed and movable twin bed. 1 loft with Queen Mattress on floor 1 leather long couch 1 additional full sized air mattress provided and can be moved around. Additional bedding supplies 1 bath with tub and shower Plus 1/2 bath STONE HOUSE 1 Queen bed 1 leather long couch 1 full sized air mattress xan be put in middle of livingroom floor if needed. Additional bedding supplies 1 bath shower, sink, toilet Kitchennet. (Full kitchen when stove is replaced and ordered fridge delivered) This may not happen prior to your stay, but plenty of kitchen in Main House and dinning in middle to accomodate entire large group or group can divide into their own spaces. Dogs are allowed in STONE HOUSE ONLY, its porches and main screened porch area only. MILL HOUSE has beautiful historic hickory floors with gaps and dogs can damage floors, so no dogs allowed in that part of property. Other things to note There is absolutely no playing, exploring or standing in or on the Mill damn walls or structure. And all children and dogs (and any adults needing it as well lol) must be supervised at all times. . Guests will once again have to agree to these house rules (including dog rules) before arriving and entry to property. Pets brought to property are a $200 fee with prior acceptance and payment. Pets brought to property (or more than 2) after arrival and without sharing informstion and payment during prior booking process will be charged $1000.
