Experience the Lustica peninsula in all its abundant seasons... The space A one bedroom space, The Courtyard - Dvorišta- Residence has two bathrooms, a large living room and a well-equipped kitchen. Stylishly and spaciously laid out over the entire (ground) floor of an old two story building that once formed part of the ramparts of a small village. The thick stone walls once protected the village from raiding pirates. The house itself is surrounded by a delightful and rare internal stone courtyard on one side, while on the other is a spacious private terrace/garden area that leads down to gates and the larger shared garden and pool area (8 x 4m swimming pool); Water in pool all year round and more temperate from April to November. The bedroom opens up to a tastefully decorated open-plan living area and to the old courtyard, located, like a sunken well, at the very centre of the ancient stone complex; sheltered from the elements, it is ( my favorite) a place of peace and calm. The Pool is open all year round but will have warmer water between April and November . Sometimes the pool and wider garden areas are shared with other gusts staying on the same property. The adjacent rural village lies in a sleepy hollow at the top of a valley on the south and sunny side of the Luštica Peninsula and retains a rare and old-world insight to the atmosphere from the Adriatic part of the Mediterranean sea. Lustica peninsula is a great get-a-way of pretty beaches, peaceful countryside covered in thick olive and pine woods, while at the same time surrounded by the deep blue waters of the Adriatic, and the famous Boka Kotorska fjord. The New Luxury Mamula Hotel and Spa and Lustica Bay are a short 15mins drive and boat ride away while the bigger centres of Tivat, Porto Montenegro and the walled old town of Kotor and dramatic inner fjord and are about thirty to forty minutes drive away. Other things to note Over 500 years ago this property formed part of the Rampart (defensive) Walls of the family Marovic settlement on the strategically important Lustica Peninsula. Over centuries the walls, and surroundings, evolved into separate adjacent properties belonging to different members of the closely knit clan. Today’s accommodation consists of two beautifully and sensitively restored 2 story houses overlooking large, aromatic gardens and a rich Mediterranean forests that lead down to the Adriatic sea shore. Each area extends over the whole of a floor area of the old buildings and have their own private gardens/terraces, comfortable and furnished lounge areas which lead directly to the wider garden and pool areas which can be shared with other guests. The pool area is rarely used by more than one or two groups at a time and individual private garden/terrace areas allow for uninterrupted outdoor experience /al fresco dining under the stars.
