The Wood Haven cottage

Come enjoy your home away from home at the Wood Haven retreat on Siddon Lake. This beautiful small spring fed lake is the perfect place to relax and unwind lakeside. There are no motorized boats on the lake making it perfect for family fun or fearless floating. The cottage has the best of both worlds. all the amenities of home, including high speed internet and comfy beds, but the views and activities of the cottage life. The big screened in porch allows you to always enjoy the weather! The space With lots of space and privacy lakeside, this is a slice of heaven you may never want to leave, but if you do, it's only 5 minutes to Bancroft. This sweet little town has all the amenities you'll need including grocery, beer store/LCBO, restaurants and cute shops. There are also some great hiking trails in the area as well. Silent Lake (15 min away), Egan chutes (10 min away) and Algonquin park (45 min away). There's lots to do outside at the cottage including canoeing, kayaking, some great spots to fish and of course just enjoying a good float in the lake. Inside you will find board games and a large collection of dvd's to choose from but we always suggest you enjoy the lakeview on the screened in porch and of course a great fire in the evening. Other things to note We do not include linens for beds or bath/beach towels or kitchen towels. We provide toilet paper, paper towel and dish clothes but please come prepared with your own linens. We can have them supplied with an addition charge upon request.
