House of Blue is a cottage on our property offering two queen bedrooms perfect for relaxing, a front porch seating area to have your cup of morning coffee or just a nice conversation & back deck with an eating area & plenty of lighting at night. The outdoor area features a fire pit, picnic table, and optional grill. Our home is convenient to Combine Academy, the hospital, drivable to downtown & many wedding venues. It’s a mile to Hwy 321, 20 mins to I-85 and 15 mins to I-40! House of Blue is named after the previous owner, Blue, who is fondly remembered in the area for raising and selling goats. We are local hosts. This cottage is close to Atrium Lincolnton hospital and is also the closest Airbnb to Combine Academy. When leaving driveway, feel free to utilize the grassy area to turn around so that you are facing forward. Backing out of driveway is not advised due to traffic. Doors/Keys: Front Door Keyless Entry: The front door works on a code. Keys for the back door are not provided. Please be sure all windows & doors are locked before you leave. WiFi: Free WiFi is included. The log-in password is located in the living room. Disclaimer: Although unlikely, we are not responsible for power outages or internet disruptions beyond our control. i.e. caused by nature, wrecks etc. TV: We offer basic cable TV viewing via the SPECTRUM APP on each Roku TV. There are TVs in the bedrooms and living room. You must have your own log-in to operate streaming accounts such as Netflix or Hulu. There are also free channels available by selecting the FreeVee app on the television. We also have a digital antenna on the living room television for additional television selections. Use the remote to turn on TVs. Be sure to log off streaming accounts prior to leaving. Fireplace: We do not have a working fireplace. There is a remote control to operate the fireplace “candles” attached to the side of the fireplace. The candles are electronic. Please do not attempt to light them. Fire pit: We have a fire pit for your enjoyment. We supply enough wood for one fire. You can purchase additional wood at nearby convenience, grocery, & hardware stores. Grill: We have a gas grill available for an additional fee of $25. The fee covers the cost of using the gas tank and cleaning of the grill after departure. We charge this separately to keep our main cleaning fee as low as possible since everyone will not want to use the grill. Guests will have access to the entire space minus two owners cabinets located in the laundry area. You have full use of the front yard, back deck and side yard area in front of the gravel driveway. This home is located on our personal property. We live directly behind House of Blue on the next street. We strive for your experience to be as private as possible however should you need assistance, please contact us via your booking app messaging system. We are also close to the larger cities of Hickory and Gastonia. Our home is in a convenient drivable location. Services such as Lyft, Uber, Instacart, and Door Dash are also available. Although rural, this home is convenient to highways and interstates. It is a mile to Hwy 321, 20 mins to Interstate 85 and 15 mins to Interstate 40!
