This historic boathouse is a rare find, situated directly in the waters of the popular Fourth Lake in Old Forge. Complete unobstructed lake views from all three sides of the home provide breathtaking sights during all four seasons. Enjoy the spacious dock, the open concept living area, swim in the private sandy bottom waterfront, and bask in the all-day sun provided by the north shore. The space As one of the only remaining boathouses, this 1916 home built above a 2 slip boathouse is a one of kind stay. All of the finer points have been freshly renovated and modernized while keeping the comfort and coziness of an authentic Adirondack camp in place. With three waterview bedrooms and a single bath, a modern kitchen, a large parking space, and hardwood flooring throughout, this open floor plan home is comfortable and perfect for gathering. The sandy-bottomed waterfront and dock area are bathed in sunlight all day for waterside relaxation and fun on the lake. Guests are invited to bring their boats or rent one from the local marina, though not necessary with an abundance of outdoor amenities already included such as kayaks, water toys, and a canoe. Nestled in a quiet cove-like setting on the north shore, with decks overlooking the water and offering plenty of wooded privacy, this perfect retreat is just a few miles, or a short boat ride, from both downtown Old Forge and Inlet. Sit by the waterfront fire pit, or the authentic Adirondack Leanto, and enjoy the cozy forested setting as you watch the sunrise and sunset. You will have to walk down a gravel driveway to a set of stairs. We are not handicap accessible.
