The space Le Havre du Canal is a small ancestral house built in 1875 and carefully renovated in 2022, by the canal in Leclercville. With its original panelling, its small village house proportions and its gentle atmosphere, it is an intimate, clean and warm refuge, ideal for two people who want to slow down, cook, enjoy the hot tub, make a fire and savour the calm of the waterfront. On the ground floor, the living room and dining room form a simple and comfortable space to relax after a walk to the wharf or an evening out. Roku Smart TV lets you use your own streaming subscriptions. The kitchen is well equipped to prepare real meals during your stay: cook in peace, have a coffee, have a drink, and chat for a long time around the table. It's a house that's great to live in a relaxed way, without a busy schedule. Upstairs, the master bedroom features a queen-size bed, a work area, and a TV that can also be used as a computer screen. The second bedroom has two single beds. The house can accommodate up to 4 people, but it is especially comfortable for a couple or a small, close-knit group. The full bathroom is located on the ground floor. As in many old houses, some floors are sloped, especially in the bathroom. It's part of the character of the place, but it requires a bit of attention. Outside, the covered pavilion is the perfect for your stay. Its large openings are fitted with magnetic mosquito nets in summer and transparent vinyl sheets in winter, allowing you to enjoy it for longer, depending on the season. There is a hot tub, a table for eating or having a drink, a hanging hammock chair, and the canal is nearby. The property also offers a fire pit near the water, perfect for extending quiet evenings, listening to the waterfowl, and catching a glimpse of the ships in the distance on the river. The wharf, the river and the heart of the village are within walking distance. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house, the pavilion where the hot tub is located, the property, the outdoor fire pit and the driveway. The basement, the attic, the upstairs utility closet, and the main floor of the house are not accessible to guests. Other things to note Le Havre du Canal is a small ancestral village house. It is clean, comfortable and full of charm, but it retains the characteristics of an old house: floors that may creak, compact rooms, steeper stairs and a warm atmosphere rather than new, standardized decor. This old house is not suitable for people with limited mobility, balance issues, or difficulty using stairs. You have to climb four steps outside to get to the house. Both bedrooms are upstairs, while the only bathroom is on the ground floor, which requires regular use of a narrow and steep interior staircase, especially at night. The bathroom has a standard shower-bath and does not have any special features for people with reduced mobility. The accommodation is better suited for independent travellers who are stable on their feet and fully comfortable using stairs. The house is designed for personal or tourist stays focused on rest, with a spirit of respect for the premises. It is not suitable for construction site stays, work teams, or use as an operational base. We prioritize guests who want to enjoy the tranquility, the spa, the pavilion, and the area in a peaceful setting. The house is located in a quiet residential area, with neighbours nearby. It is especially suitable for couples and small, quiet groups who want to enjoy the canal, the hot tub, the outdoor fire and peaceful moments. It is not designed for parties, noisy gatherings, or stays focused on evening entertainment. The house can accommodate up to 4 people, but it is particularly comfortable for 2. The base rate is for two travellers. Any additional person present on the premises, even for a single night, must be declared in the booking. A fee per additional person applies beyond 2 travellers. The hot tub is located in the covered pavilion, protected from the elements. This is a small 120V hot tub, ideal for quiet sessions, especially for two. It heats up more slowly than a standard hot tub and must be properly covered after each use to maintain its temperature, especially in winter. The TV works with Roku and streaming apps. There is no traditional cable. You can use your own subscriptions like Netflix, Prime, Disney+, ICI Toutv, TVA+ or Noovo. Access to sports channels or live TV may require your own subscriptions. Outdoor amenities are seasonal. The gazebo, outdoor furniture, BBQ and fire pit are set up or accessible depending on the time of year, the weather and winter conditions. In winter, the fireplace area is not cleared of snow. On-site parking is limited to 2 passenger vehicles for the entire group. The site is not suitable for large, commercial or professional vehicles.
