We offer a comfortable, convenient & homely place to stay during your visits to Kandy. Located in the heart of Kandy, we are near the Temple of the Tooth, ancient Gadaladeniya Temple, Botanical Gardens, University, Suwasevana Hospitals, Supermarket, places to eat, Kandy & Peradeniya Towns. Free Wi-fi and parking available. The space The home is very close to city’s attractions. Although situated in the heart of Kandy along a busy street, the home is open in all sides to garden with plenty of natural light and ventilation. You have the pleasure of enjoying plenty of foliage & trees - with the rubble paved floors and the high roof make the house naturally "air-conditioned". If you like to be woken by the chirping of birds or be lulled to sleep by the calling of crickets even when you are in the city, our home stay is the ideal place for you during your visit to Kandy. If you are into Art, Poetry or writing, this is the ideal retreat for you as you are in the midst of plenty of art and cultural motifs in gallery and throughout. A member of the staff will be available to greet you and for assistance. The Room: The Room that is clean and spacious, is thoughtfully designed with traditional Kandyan motifs to make you feel comfortable. Room has attached bathrooms with running hot and cold water with rain showers. You will have access to the dining and sitting area at ground level in the midst of and have the privilege of enjoying a serene, warm and homely environment. At Siebel House, you will have the opportunity of experiencing Sri Lankan hospitality at its best! This airy & relaxing room is on the second floor of the home. It has beautiful twin (single) beds and another deck with a mattress so three persons can comfortably sleep, 5 pillows, white bed linens, a work table & a cupboard. Children can be accommodated but we are unable to provide a cot. Bed linen and towels are provided free. Wi-fi is provided free. The room is quite spacious and naturally lit with a large window. There is also a writing table, wardrobe, and a flat screen TV. Next to the bed you have nightstands with lamps, and a ceiling fan. The Room controls its own air conditioning unit. The closest bathroom is private and is attached on-suite with running hot and cold water with rain showers. The bathroom has a shower with a glass cubicle, Closet, and a Wash Basin. The room is professionally cleaned after each guest checks out, and all public spaces of the house are well appointed and professionally cleaned daily. Delicious Sri Lankan or continental breakfast can be provided on request. Parking: There is free and unassigned parallel street parking right out front, and all throughout the neighborhood. There is also a car park in the adjoining land for which a nominal charge is levied. Guest access Guests are able use of the room they have reserved, and have full access to the Lounge, Gallery, & the Café (Menu available). You may smoke in Gallery or Lounge and NOT in the Room. You will have access to the dining and sitting area and have the privilege of enjoying a serene, warm and homely environment. During your stay We want all our guests to feel comfortable and like our home is their home away from home. We will be always available at the premises should you need assistance. If any issues arise, we are available and will promptly respond to your message through the Airbnb platform. Other things to note This is an Airbnb building with some areas that are communal. Thus, for everyone's safety and comfort some house rules are essential. We wholeheartedly love hosting, and the reviews left by our incredible guests are testimony of it.
