Lovely Big Room 5 Min from Castle

Welcome to my lovely ground floor apartment situated in the centre of Edinburgh. The Victorian building is located in a quiet street within walking distance from the castle. The space Treat yourself to a Victorian tenement stay in the middle of Edinburgh. Original features like cornices have been preserved in this building and the area is lovely and within walking distance of Edinburgh Castle. Your room is located in a lovely ground floor apartment in a quiet cul-de-sac, with views out to both gardens. It is part of a traditional Edinburgh tenement from around 1900. The apartment has a large sit-in kitchen and 3 rooms of which one is available to my guests. The other 2 rooms are occupied by the family. The modern yet rustic interior makes it a comfortable, good value base for a city holiday. I am an artist so there are paintings and photographs on all the walls. Your guestroom has a comfortable double bed, and for two separate sleeps the sofa can be prepared as a sofa bed. The room has a monitor for playing DVDs and Videos. There is a piano and a guitar in it, please feel free to play it during your stay. Sometimes the little piano is away when it is part of the Edinburgh Fringe or touring Europe. The shared kitchen/dining area is cosy and at the same time spacious, with a breakfast bar and a nice seating area by the window looking out over the back garden. Often a lot of sun comes in through the windows, creating a bright and friendly space. In the kitchen cereals are provided for your morning breakfast. You will also find coffee and a varied selection of teas : ) There is a separate bathroom and toilet. The bathroom has a fabulous overhead shower and full size tub. Shampoo and shower geI are provided so you don't have to bring it. The toilet has it's own very small library. Bed linen and towels are provided and WIFI is available. There are two gardens adjacent to the flat, the front is your own little private garden, and the back is communal. You are welcome to spend time in both gardens. In the flat you will find a guide to lovely local pubs and live music. Feel free to ask me about the local music scene. The apartment is located in the Tollcross area of Edinburgh which offers all amenities. It is only 5 minutes walk to the old town and castle. 2 cinemas are within a few minutes walk. We are 5 minutes from a big Edinburgh park called The Meadows. The apartment is a 15 minute walk from the train station, a taxi will cost around £6. It is also very easy to get here by bus with a 20 minute bus ride from the station and a 10 minute walk from the bus to the apartment.
