Bedside Manner Basement Sweet

Located minutes walk away from the hustle & bustle of Downtown Dawson City, with walking trails right in our backyard, we are knowledgeable about all local attractions and happy to help! The space Upon entering the guest entrance from the back deck, there is a small closet to hang coats and where you will find a basket with guest slippers. A fold-down bench is on the wall for ease of removing footwear, and wall hooks to hang jackets. As you enter the space from the stairs, you come into the living area with a sectional couch and 55” flatscreen tv. The open concept area then leads into the kitchenette, that has a Keurig coffee maker, kettle, a single induction cooktop, deep sink, bar fridge, microwave and 6-in-1 toaster oven/air fryer, as well as a kitchen island with 4 barstools. Dish soap, dish towels, paper towels, etc are also provided. Each bedroom features a queen size bed with all the necessary bedding, nightstands, chair, room darkening blinds and 10 clothes hangers. One bedroom features a desk for the remote worker. The bathroom has a stand up shower with towels provided, along with all other toiletries such as soap, shampoo and conditioner. There is a washer & dryer for everyone’s use, with detergent provided. Guest access Guests enter the basement suite via their own private entrance located on the back deck (there is a sign indicating the door). There is a tiny closet at the top of the stairs where a basket of guest slippers is located, as well as pull-down bench for ease of footwear removal, coat hooks and boot mat, where guests can hang their coats and leave their outdoor shoes. The entire basement suite is for our guests’ pleasure, except for behind the two big barn doors. That is our private storage and sealed for that reason. The washer and dryer are the only ones in the house, and we usually wait for guest to have checked out before we use them. If at any point we need to use them, we would be sure to make arrangements with our guest(s) beforehand to find a suitable time that doesn’t interfere with their use/stay. Our garage, and Jim’s workshop, is behind the door with the frosted window. Here guest access is limited to extra fridge and freezer space. If there isn’t enough room in the small fridge in the kitchenette, there is a fridge in the garage guests can use - please be careful of any projects Jim may have on the go though! 😉 If help is required with anything in the suite (temperature regulation, extra toiletries, etc.), please ask. Please note: the sauna is off limits to guests - thank you for your understanding. Other things to note FYI, the floor in the main area is concrete and therefore slippers are recommended/provided, especially during the winter months. During the summer however, this feature means a naturally cooled space, that is lovely to escape the hot summer sun! Please note: due to the nature of the suite (the space being in our basement), there will be normal household sounds coming from above. We try to keep noise levels to a minimum and expect the same in return.
