Relax, unwind and enjoy our tranquil and private country getaway. Our cottage is nestled at the base of beautiful Mount Taranaki located just over 5 kms from Stratford township and close to the Egmont National Park Boundary. Easy access to all the best mountain tracks, or with experience even brave a summit. Weather permitting you can enjoy some great mountain views from the property to the West and East of the country. The space The cottage has 3 steps up to it, otherwise it is all single level. Weather permitting there are great views of the mountain peak from the cottage. With only a few metres walk up the hill you are welcome to enjoy full mountain views both of Mt Taranaki with its stunning sunsets to the West and the beautiful sunrises behind Mt Ruapehu, Tongario and Ngauruhoe on the central plateau to the East. Guest access The entire cottage is available for guests who are staying with us and is private and secluded from the main house. You are welcome to walk around the fenced in area around the cottage and up to the old cowshed and glasshouse to enjoy better views of the mountains.
