Orchard House at Raven Ridge
Orchard House at Raven Ridge
Description
Orchard house is a very cozy, functional and spacious tiny home with attached greenhouse and detached outhouse (compost toilet). You will love the creative feel of custom woodwork and natural light that gives it the intimate appeal of a home, yet also a personal retreat. Folks have described the place as ‘perfect’ and ‘dreamy’. We are raising goats in spring 2026 Orchard is 22 minutes drive to Asheville and close to nature. Very cozy for one or two, even a small family on a trip The space There is a full kitchen and lounge downstairs and a bed, bath and sink upstairs. NO FLUSH toilet, Outhouse is a short walk away through our gardens. Perfect for remote workers (strong wifi), travelers, tourists as well as writers, artists and for personal retreats. There is cold A/C for hot summer days. We live a short walk away with our three daughters, and are available to meet and help for any reason. Inside the place is total privacy, but around outside you can sometimes expect a social setting, especially in summer when people maybe moving around outside. We are social and not too shy. Orchard house is 7 minutes to Marshall, 15 to Weaverville and 25 to Asheville. Guest access Our rural neighborhood is walkable on roads and has a quite a few trails you can find. We often have a trail map for you, but don't expect the 3-dimensional topography to be well-represented in 2-dimensional form, i.e. prepare to explore. There is a fire pit on the more private side of the cabin from our home and the other guesthouse. easy access and plenty to enjoy inside and outside. Other things to note Our hill is grassy, and has ticks in summer, also hornets and ants are not uncommon but mostly harmless. Please take note that there is a detached restroom that used to serve our house, not far from our door. Also we have children and sometimes they are playing outside and making noise.
