The Bird Nest is the (Guest House) of a recently built custom private home (House Phoenix). Located on 15 private wooded acres backing up to Yellowwood State Forest, in beautiful Brown County, IN. Multiple hiking trails are within 2 miles and the town of Nashville, with its quaint shops and variety of restaurants, is only 4 miles away. Brown County State Park is 8 miles. Enjoy the recently updated interior, high speed internet, fireplace and privacy deck. Make a fire in the large fire pit. Snuggle up with a great book out in the hammock. During inclement weather, or just to unwind, watch a movie on the 50" flat screen or play a variety of board games. Barbeque on the privacy deck or sit around the fire pit, all the wood needed included. 2-3 car parking on a cement pad directly in front and additional parking available free. My wife and I live in a recently completed custom home on the property. This home is sound proofed and thoroughly insulated. It is connected to a heated and insulated 4-car garage. The roof connects the home, garage and guest house (Birdnest). We live on the far side of the compound. The Birdnest is a completely stand alone cottage, with its own walls, mechanicals, utilities and parking. We cannot hear guests and guests cannot hear us. However; I work from home and can be contacted for an emergency or any other issues, with response ASAP. We do not interact with guests unless requested and rarely see them unless coming and going in vehicles. Bloomington is only 13 miles away, and Columbus 20 miles. Lake Lemon, used for swimming, fishing and boating is only 9 miles away. Yellowwood State Forest can be reached through our property, but come prepared, this is not an easy hike. Wood is available for free to guests for the fire pit. During or after inclement weather we can supply dry wood, if desired.
