Open the doors to your private loft and enjoy the sounds of the babbling Saugatuck River in this one bed, one bath studio loft located in Weston, CT. This serene space is perfect for solo travelers, couples or small groups looking for a peaceful getaway. Just minutes from downtown Westport and an hour 15 to New York City, this unique space is close to it all, but secluded and wooded enough that you may be lucky enough to catch sight of some of our regulars - grey herons, river otters and more. The space The private studio loft has a queen bed, living area, bathroom, office space, balcony and coffee/bar area (see details). The living area has a large couch and tv with cable television (Youtube TV) and many streaming services ready to be used with no sign in required!! In addition, we have several gaming consoles and board games, including a Nintendo Switch with 4 controllers for the whole family! The bathroom is cozy, clean and well decorated. The shower is on the small side but perfectly functional with great water pressure. We have included a dresser in the bathroom as well for storage. The work space includes a printer, monitor, desk and chair. Absolutely perfect for all your remote working needs. We do not offer access to our main kitchen, but do provide a small fridge/freezer, toaster, microwave and of course, coffee. We also have plenty of dishes and cutlery. And of course, the private balcony overlooking the Saugatuck is adorned with an Adirondack chair. The studio also has a private entrance for easy self check-in. The studio is located over our garage, which we do have to access from time-to-time, however we make sure not to open the garage door during typical quiet/sleeping hours. Guest access You will have access to your private loft area, private balcony and shared backyard. You will have a private entryway with a key so you can come and go as you wish. You will also have a dedicated parking spot. During your stay We will be available for your needs by texting or messaging us. You may see us around the yard, but we respect your privacy and understand guests have varying levels of comfort interacting with hosts. We are open to it all! Other things to note As many reviewers have mentioned, the space is very private and the area is quiet. We are a young family of 4 and we also have a small dog named Maggie. While it is quiet most of the time (as our reviews mention), it is important to note this is a room in our home and there may be potential for family noise, however this hasn’t been an issue for the vast majority of our guests.
