Other things to note While the Kefalonia airport is located at 47km from the property, at 1.7 km from villa Raphael one will find the famous long beach Megas Lakkos with its golden sand. It has the quite end on one side and on the opposite side of the beach a lively area, where excellent taverns and beach cafed/bars can be found. At 2km is the famous Xi beach with plenty of water sport activities, cafes/bars and taverns. At 1.5 km is a big supermarket where you can find everything that one could possible need and at 2 km is the famous Platia/Square of Lixouri full of cafes, bars, lounge, restaurants, gift shops, bakery, pastry shops, fishshops, butcher, pharmacies, electronics shops, etc. which is always buzzing after 6pm. In the month of July, August and September Lixouri has its summer events with live music, theater shows for all age groups every single night. 15 minutes with the ferry one can also cross over to Argostoli for further entertainment until sunrise.
