The Welcoming Studio

Comfortable, bespoke, self contained studio in the picturesque rural village of Mulbring located in the valley below the Watagan Mountains. The space is a short drive from the Hunter Valley vineyards, Lake Macquarie, & Newcastle. It's perfect for couples or singles attending events or festivals in the Hunter Valley, visiting friends & family, travelling for work, or just wanting to explore the local area. A fantastic spot for a cheeky vineyard visit on the way to or from the North Coast of NSW. The space The Studio is adjacent to the main house and is completely self contained with a separate driveway & entrance. It contains a queen bed, ensuite bathroom & open living area. The kitchenette is suitable for reheating food (not cooking) & is equipped with basics such as tea, coffee, milk & condiments. It's best to purchase any additional groceries needed on your way to the studio as the nearest grocery store is at Kurri Kurri 10 minutes drive away. There are no shops, cafes or pubs in Mulbring. There is a small fenced area near the entry to the studio & a covered sitting area overlooking the back garden where you might be lucky enough to see a satin bower bird or a black cockatoo. Mulbring park is a 2 minute walk away on Maitland Road & is the perfect place to take in the mountain views & enjoy a walk or a picnic. There is a basketball court & tennis court (booking required) at the park. Length of stay. If you would like to stay longer than 7 days, please message me to see if we can accommodate your time frame. Parking There is plenty of room for parking in the driveway. There is also room for a trailer or campervan if needed. Please advise before booking. Getting around A car is essential as there is no public transport in the area. Driving times as a guide: Kurri Kurri - 10 minutes Cessnock - 18 minutes Greenhills (Stockland shopping Centre) - 20 minutes Toronto - 22 minutes Hunter Vineyards - 25 minutes Maitland - 23 minutes Morpeth - 25 minutes Newcastle - 45 minutes Port Stephens - 1 hour Sydney - 1 hour 40 minutes The studio is 10 minutes from both the Pacific Motorway at Freemans Waterhole and the Hunter Expressway at Buchanan. Attractions Pangallo Estate Olive Grove and Winery at Richmond Vale is a 5 minute drive away. There is also hiking, mountain biking, wineries, Maitland Art Gallery, Historic Morpeth, Lake Macquarie and Newcastle beaches. See guide book for links and more details. Dogs Please advise if you are wishing to bring your dog as prior approval is needed. The space can only accommodate small to medium dogs. Guest access Guests have access to the driveway in front of the studio, the side courtyard and back under cover sitting area. If you bring your dog with prior approval, they can be off leash in the side fenced area or kept on a leash in all other outdoor areas. There are free range chickens in the backyard so dogs need to be on a leash in the undercover sitting area. Other things to note The Studio is situated in a residential neighbourhood and there can sometimes be normal neighbourhood noises like people mowing lawns or dogs barking.
