Established in the early 1930s, this ancestral home will now almost turn a century old. Every wall of the home echoes an olden glory, which is reminiscent of the yesteryears. The space The home itself has an interesting history; it has served as a refuge to the Tibetan monks in the past, and the legend also says that Dalai Lama spent a few days here and even gave a sermon. To date, older monks visit, to pay respects to the home - so you can only imagine the aura of this villa! Engulfed in emerald pine and dense deodar trees, this villa effortlessly marries heritage furnishings and modern conveniences. The sprawling gardens are ideal for a relaxing meditation session, whilst the well-stocked library is perfect for all book lovers. Avid birdwatchers are in for a treat, as the vicinity of the property boasts a varied species of birds. Come hither on a clear day and savour the serenity of the hills, or relish a morning cuppa in the midst of a blanket of clouds, as you soak in nature. Pets are welcome at an additional charge of Rs. 1500 per pet. The Space: BEDROOMS - This spacious holiday home features 4 bedrooms - 2 on the ground floor and 2 on the first floor. - All bedrooms are equipped with a range of amenities including a heater, TV, king-sized bed, wardrobe, and Wi-Fi.  - 2 bedrooms on the ground floor and 1 on the first floor are also replete with an ensuite bathroom. - The rooms on the ground floor open up to covered sit-out space and the garden. - The rooms on the first floor offer splendid views of the lush green surroundings and the well-manicured garden. BATHROOMS - There are 2 attached bathrooms. - All bathrooms have geysers, hairdryers, towels and basic toiletries. COMMON AREAS - The home opens up to a cosy drawing room on the ground floor, replete with eye-catching furnishings that can accommodate up to 12 people.  - It is equipped with a myriad of amenities such as a heater, electric kettle, portable music system and Wi-Fi. - The dining area is a component of the living area and can comfortably seat up to 8 people.  - There is an additional lounging space on the first floor, with ample seating arrangements for up to 5 people.  - It also features a library with a variety of books to choose from. - Enjoy the breathtaking panoramas of the Deodar trees against the backdrop of the Himalayan range right from this room. - The exteriors of the property boast a beautiful garden, 100 sq. yards in size. It offers quintessential outdoor furnishings for up to 10 people.  KITCHEN - Guests do not have access to the kitchen. - It is equipped with a water purifier, electric kettle, crockery, and cutlery. FOOD - A customised selection of freshly prepared vegetarian and non-vegetarian local specialities can be availed at an additional cost. - Consumption of non-vegetarian food is allowed. - Outside food is not allowed. Guest access The guests have access to their rooms and common areas except for the kitchen. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, guests may have restricted access to any shared amenities. During your stay The host is not present at the property but is always accessible via call or message. A trained and responsible caretaker is present to resolve any concerns and help you have a perfect stay. Other things to note STAFF ACCOMMODATION We are unable to provide accommodation for your personal staff. ACTIVITIES This holiday home is nestled in the midst of stunning mountainscapes and serene valleys. Within the property, guests can start their day with a brisk morning walk on the beautiful lawn and soak in the gorgeous views. Enjoy a soothing meditation session. Avid birdwatchers can indulge in a birding session. Gather your loved ones and play indoor games like cards and ludo. Snuggle with a book to read in the many cosy corners of the house. Relish a lavish barbecue spread around the bonfire. Take home a bag of memories. ADD-ON SERVICES - Barbecue kit is available at an additional cost of Rs. 1500 per use. - Bonfire can be used at an additional cost of Rs. 1500 per session. - The washing machine can be used at no additional cost. - Laundry services can be provided in-house at an additional cost. - Prices may vary subject to availability and peak season rates. HOME TRUTHS While we do promise you a welcoming home and a great stay, here are a few things we’d like to mention so as to ensure there are no unpleasant surprises later! - The location of the villa is secluded. - All-male groups are not allowed. - This is a pet-friendly property. - Incase of a power outage, the inverter can support all appliances for up to 4 hours. - All mobile networks work fairly well here. - Consumption of non-vegetarian food is allowed. - Please be mindful and keep noise to a minimum after 10 PM. - Guests are advised not to step out after dark, as it may not be safe, given the presence of monkeys around. - There are CCTV cameras that capture the external areas for security purposes. - The caretaker stays on the premises of the same property. - Guests can stay connected with complimentary Wi-Fi. Network is subject to availability at any given time. - Please note that the approach road to the property is quite steep, and as a result, tempo travellers are not permitted.
