Sprawling Eclectic Farmhouse in Pastoral Bovina

Listen to frogs in the pond, gaze at mountain views, stretch out on the park-like grassy lawn or relax by a fire outside this 6,000 sq ft stately home. Great for entertaining small groups, especially yoga getaways and golf weekends, in a lovely pastoral setting. The Ground Floor consists of 3 spacious living rooms, fireplace, large kitchen with two ovens/stoves/dishwashers, dining room that seats 16, bathroom and mud room. All bedrooms are upstairs. The space Guests rave about the expansive interiors and how easy it is to host small groups in this unique and eclectic Victorian mansion (formerly a farm resort and once called home by Bob Denver, aka "Gilligan", and his menagerie of exotic animals). The downstairs dining room is perfect for group dinners, and the parlor furniture is lightweight and easily moved to create an open space for a 6+ person yoga class. All bedrooms are on the Second Floor. There is central heat via a steam radiator system and three portable floor AC units set up on the second floor when the summer heat is at its highest. Otherwise, the house is cooled by floor fans, open windows and the temps that drop at night. Please notes some bedding and furnishings may look slightly different than photos due to updates since opening. Also note the house is quite old, and the exterior has wear and tear in certain areas, but the setting and interior more than make up for it. Max 2 pets at $100/pet per stay. Please inquire for approval. Other things to note There is no cell service in the town of Bovina. We recommend you turn on your WiFi based calling setting on your smart phone to make cell phone calls while on the house WiFi network.
