Charming and full of character, this house is a great place to take a break with family or friends. It has a central village location, in a traditional central Breton village. Mael Carhaix has a Tabac, local convenience store, boulangerie, post office and hairdressers. A 10 minute walk from the house is the village lake (Etang du Sources) with beach and play area and BBQs. Beautiful walks, and course fishing, perfect for adults and children, Lots of other amazing things to do close by. The space This property is very old and rustic, please don't book if you prefer straight floors and walls. The upstairs floors are not even due to ancient beams below, so for this reason we have had to prop up some of the beds to make them level. There may be small spiderwebs and dust around the old fire places, it is hard to keep these old houses dustfree. It is quite creaky and delicate, but very comfortable and atmospheric. Entrance hall with wooden staircase. 1st Floor: Bedroom 1 - Kingsize bed, wooden vanity unit with mirror, sink, wooded drawers, shower, traditional Breton fireplace Bedroom 2- Double bed, small wardrobe, bed side unit. Bedroom 3 - 3 x single beds, wardrobe, traditional Breton bed (not for use) bedside units, traditional Breton fireplace Bathroom - Shower, sink, toilet. THE WATER TANK FOR THE HOUSE IS MEDIUM SIZED, SO NOT CAPABLE OF PROVIDING 7 SHOWERS IN A ROW. YOU MAY HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE TANK TO REHEAT AFTER A FEW, THIS TAKES ABOUT AN HOUR. Outside space: The property opens directly onto a quiet lane, there is a small grassed area opposite the house and across the lane with a table, BBQ, and space for parking. It is not fenced.
