The Bunk House

Nestled in Scappoose's wooded embrace, “The Bunk House” greets you with warm hospitality. Experience the comforts of home, with a hint of outdoor adventure aka porta-potty and outdoor seasonal shower. (shower closed for the winter). Inside discover an indoor sink that uses fresh bottled water, a kitchenette with dishes, silverware, and general essentials for meal preparations. Our mission goes beyond mere accommodations; we strive to create cherished memories that linger long after your stay The space The Bunk House lies adjacent to the main house and within a vast five-acre expanse of wooded trails for you to explore at your own pace. There is a wood-burning fire pit and a porch fire pit, creating inviting spaces for you to gather and enjoy the outdoor experience. Moreover, we provide various forms of leisurely entertainment, including bean bag toss, board games, books, doodling paper/pens and bikes for exploring. Guest access As our cherished guest, feel free to wander our grounds, roam the trails, and gather around the fire pits, just as if you were camping under the stars. Other things to note Shower: The (HOT AND COLD) knobs TURN “OUTWARD” to turn on. I recommend turning the hot water on first and letting it run for a minute, while you stand outside of the water stream. Then, slowly introduce the cold water to reach your desired temperature. The knobs do not have a lot of turn play, but they do provide sufficient water pressure for a decent shower. The BBQ grill and propane stove uses the small propane tanks, and complimentary firewood is on the porch. Please note that while we provide WiFi, you may experience slow speeds due to the rural setting.
