Cottage life in the city! You will be close to everything in the Nation’s Capital when you stay at this prime location on the banks of the Rideau River. Just a 15 minute drive to the Ottawa airport, 8 minutes to Mooney’s Bay Park & Beach and easy access to Colonel By Drive for a scenic 20 minute trip to the popular Byward Market. You are welcome to sit by the water, or enjoy the patio with a view and a beverage! In the winter months, access to the Rideau Canal Skateway is 5 minutes away! The space This clean, comfortable unit will quickly become your home away from home! With a private entrance, the main living area in this lower level, walkout unit, features an open concept living space with a 50" TV, a La-Z-Boy recliner and a comfy futon that converts to a bed. The kitchenette is equipped with all the essentials including a full-size refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker, Cuisinart convection oven/toaster/air fryer, kettle, microwave, a large electric frying pan, double-burner hot plate, and everything needed for meal preparation. Coffee, tea, cream and sugar are complimentary. The spacious bedrooms both have inviting, comfortable, queen-size beds and extra pillows of varying thickness for our guest's comfort and preference. One of the bedrooms has a desk with a view of the river. Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel are provided and there is a convenient lighted wall mirror and a hair dryer in the bathroom. There is a laundry room with large capacity washer & dryer. Enjoy a patio that is for our guest's exclusive use with a barbecue, table and chairs and sun umbrella. There is also a sitting area by the water. The yard is fully fenced with gates to the parking area and to the river. Guest access There is ample parking for 2 cars. A short stairway leads to the backyard of the house where one enters the unit. Guests have access to the entire unit. Other things to note My husband, Steve, and I live in the upper portion of the house so you may occasionally hear us. We are usually at home and always available should our guests have questions, concerns, or just need some guidance regarding local attractions and activities. We have a portable "Pack 'N Play" playpen available, with an additional mattress for extra comfort. A mattress cover and 2 sheets are provided. There is a "toddler bed rail" available; a “portable” high chair - one that straps to a kitchen chair, with a tray; a “Bumbo” booster seat; a baby seat, and a change table - please advise us if these are required. This is a family-friendly accommodation, there is no smoking in the house. A “cup” ashtray is available and located on the windowsill of bedroom #2 (on the patio). Registration Details STR-845-436
