Like most mountain homes, we do not have AC. At 9,000 feet we're generally 20 degrees cooler than Denver. Driveway sits flat peak and is accessible, not steep, and short. A AWD/4WD wheel drive is not necessary to reach our cabin because the road is not steep (we drive a non-AWD/4WD sedan to get there). - *In winter months, all weather or snow tires are recommended, if not required. (These should come standard on any vehicle rented in Colorado during the winter.) (For those driving in from warmer climates, all weather tires are not the same as all season tires. All weather tires have more traction.) The roads are well plowed and fully paved. But the road up is winding with multiple switchbacks, so you will want to drive up and down slowly. If you are planning to visit Echo Mountain for skiing or tubing you will most likely need a 4WD or AWD vehicle.* -Quiet hours are 9pm-7am in our peaceful, residential neighborhood. Noise carries around the mountain so if you're looking to make a lot of noise or get rowdy, this property is not a good fit for you. Out of respect to our neighbors, Stone Peak Lodge utilizes NoiseAware(TM) technology which records decibel levels on the property. Thanks for respecting our wonderful neighbors and our community! -Only registered guests allowed on the property without prior permission. -Please note that there is absolutely no smoking inside AND/OR outside the house or anywhere on the property (due to high wildfire danger). Any sort of smoking will result in a $500 fee and immediate removal from the property. --Our cabin is a 15 minute winding, scenic drive up through National Park land (that's how we get the views and the peaceful no highway noise vibes), so some guests like to stop for supplies before making their way up the mountain. -One side of our backyard and one side of the lower patio has a severe drop-off. Great for privacy, however could be a safety issue for young children! Additionally, not all furniture in the home is child-safed (mounted to wall). -The backyard Fire Pit & BBQ grill run on propane. Absolutely no wood burning or charcoal burning anywhere on the property or on the mountain due to wildfire risk. -Must be at least 27 years of age to book. -This is a pet friendly property, however we don't allow more than 2 pets and there is a pet fee associated. When you add number of guests, please make sure to also add your pet to your reservation request and the fee will be added automatically. -Commercial shoots or photo or video shoots only allowed with prior written permission. ★★★★★ "The view is remarkable." - Trevor Guest access -Guests have access and full privacy of the entire house including the double private backyard decks with mountain views. Several closets are locked for owner use only. A detached garage located 20 feet in front of the house is not included in this listing, including a garage studio suite located above the garage. The garage suite may be owner-occupied during your stay. Other things to note -We have a security camera outside facing the outside front deck and driveway. There is also a camera recording the garage (the garage is not included in your reservation). If the camera is de-activated, we are required to send someone out immediately to re-activate it. The camera is not monitored but will be actively recording during the guests entire stay. We do not have any cameras inside the home or any other areas on the property.
