Donegal Thatch Cottage

Paddys thatched cottage is a recently renovated property built circa 1880 set on 7 acres of farmland & still retains the original features/character including the internal exposed stone wall & large fireplace making it very cosy. This area is very popular for trail walking in the hills or the purpose built walkways. Outdoor activities are plentiful such as kayaking, sea swimming, guided rock climbing & golfing. If the weather doesn't permit you can always light the stove & put the feet up. The space The living room is very cosy with the original granite stone wall on display along with the large fireplace with stove. The kitchen is modern old style with all appliances required for self catering. Off the kitchen is the double doors leading out to the patio area. Bedroom 1 is a double bed with a loft area for chilling out or reading, the loft space is accessed by a small stairs so children may need to be supervised. Bedroom 2 has a double bed with en-suite and double doors leading to an outdoor decking area. Main bathroom has an electric shower & the en-suite runs off the domestic hot water. In the small hallway you'll find the washer & dryer built into the old style cupboards. There is a kids high chair & travel cot there also. Guest access Guests have access to the entire cottage & there is plenty of parking space on the private property. Other things to note Dungloe town with bars, restaurants & shops is only 2 minute drive away. Cruit Golf club: 15 minute drive Airport: 10 minute drive. Burtonport Pier with daily ferries to Arranmore island: 5 minute drive. Mount Errigal: 20 minute drive. Glenveagh National Park: 25 minute drive. Maghery Beach: 10 minute drive
