Our home is situated between the public beaches - far enough away from either one that it feels really nice and private, with very few other people. Easy access from multiple airports, laid-back lifestyle and residents (no worries about how you look in a bathing suit, no snooty folks), and beautiful light sand beaches. Enjoy our shallow, expansive beach, ideal for every age! (The 3 public beaches along the key offer people-watching if that's your preference). Several local restaurants and a beautiful state park right on Manasota Key and access to every activity imaginable that a visitor would consider 'beachy'. Try a sunset Dolphin cruise, fishing expedition or boat/jet ski and kayak rentals, all on the island. There is also a nearby health club with daily and weekly rates. Beach yoga every morning at Englewood Beach. Punta Gorda is the closest airport - a small airport offering inexpensive flights on Allegiant Air. Note that their flight schedule varies throughout the year, and they have limited airports/cities. Sarasota and Ft Myers are other easy options, with more flights/days to choose from. From any of these 3 airports, it's a short, easy drive (40-75 minutes) to our home. On the way 'home', you pass multiple grocery stores, Walgreens, etc for any necessities (sunscreen, margaritas, coffee and groceries!). In fact, anything you may need is within 10 minutes from home.
