Cottage in Harcourt

Off grid 3 bedroom cottage plus bunkie on beautiful Baptiste Lake features an open concept kitchen/living room with vaulted ceilings and exclusive views of the Lake and Crown land. Sleeps 9 people. Enjoy the large deck and a gorgeous brand new bunkie with loft down at the shoreline. The nicely treed 2 acre lot comes with loads of privacy and is only 15 minutes to Bancroft. Excellent fishing, swimming & boating on this 36 mile lake. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. The space -Bed sizes – 2 Queen beds- one in main floor bedroom, one in the loft, and one double bed in the bunkie, 2 Twin beds (bunk beds), and a double pull out futon in sunroom – Sheets, Blankets & Pillows and Mattress protectors are provided. Sheets for the futon are available in the wardrobe in the main bedroom. -One Bathroom in main cottage with tub/shower, toilet & vanity. One roll of paper towel and a 2-3 rolls of toilet paper are provided but you should bring extra if needed. -Kitchen appliances – Coffee maker, kettle, and toaster. Glassware, bakeware, pots and pans, utensils, dishes and cutlery provided. Salt and pepper, coffee, coffee filters, sugar, sweetener, and some spices are provided. -Some bath, hand, and face towels are provided (one per guest). Beach towels are NOT provided. Kitchen towels are provided. -There is one BBQ on the property. Propane is supplied. There is an extra propane tank in the wood shed if you happen to run out. -Water at the end of the docks is about 6 ft deep. -There is limited cell phone reception. -There is unlimited internet access through Starlink and a smart TV to stream your favourite shows from your own account. -There is a selection of games for your use. Guest access You have access to the entire space. Other things to note -Our cottage is Off the Grid - meaning it is not connected to the municipal electrical/water/power source. We run on solar energy and propane. If the solar power runs out you will be required to start the propane generator. Further instruction will be provided. -The last last hill of the cottage road is steep so take it slow. An all wheel drive SUV or truck is required or you could get stuck getting back up the hill. If you don't have all wheel drive or 4 x 4 please do not book. -There is parking for 3-4 vehicles max. The property line is very close to the stairs at the main entrance and there are one-two parking spots beside the stairs. The area past that towards cottage D is the neighbours property (where you see the yellow rope) and you can not park there. There are two more spots on the driveway in front of the cottage between the cottage and the wood shed. Thank you for respecting the property boundaries. -The water out of the taps is lake water therefore you will need to bring your own drinking water for consumption. -The cottage is elevated from the Lake, dock, bunkie, and firepit area. There are two ways to access - there is fairly steep rock path on the right side towards the bunkie and a more gradual gravel path on the left side to the firepit area. If you have mobility issues it could prove difficult. -There is firewood at the cottage for an additional fee ($20 per night). -The closest Boat Launch is at the corner of Brethour Road and South Baptiste Road (approx 10 minutes from the cottage) or you can launch at Baptiste Lake Marina located at ​​99A Marina Rd, Bancroft, ON K0L 1C0. -There is no air conditioning.
