Taigh na h-Alba / Spacious bungalow in Portree

Fully renovated in December 2024, Taigh na h-Alba is a self-catering cosy two bedroom bungalow situated in the heart of Portree. The property consists of a generous lounge with fireplace, large kitchen and it is ideal for families, groups or couples providing a great base for exploring the island. We provide a complimentary welcome pack of bread, milk, jam and butter to start you off. EV charging is allowed at an extra cost. The space Taigh na h-Alba is a private and quiet bungalow in a residential area in Portree, just a two minute walk to the main shops and restaurants. The house has two king size bedrooms and one double sofa bed, private parking on the driveway for 2 cars and a well maintained private garden. The generous lounge has a cosy fireplace, two power-recliner armchairs, a comfortable 3-seater sofa that can be converted into a double sofa bed, a 52' 4K smart TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, BBC iPlayer etc. Please be aware that the sofa bed/linens are provided as standard for 5-6 guests. If you are a group of 4 or less and you require the sofa bed, you will need to request this in advance and a one off fee of £25 will incur to cover additional laundry costs. There's an ultra fast free Wi-Fi available that will allow you to stream on multiple devices simultaneously. The house is family friendly and we can provide, upon request after the booking has been confirmed, a travel cot, baby bath and high-chair that you may find useful during your stay. Tea and coffee facilities are available in the ample and characteristic kitchen, as well as a fridge-freezer, washing machine, microwave, oven and toaster. There's a newly refurbished family bathroom with a walk-in rainfall and spray shower and a second bathroom comprising of a W.C. and sink. Central heating is provided by a new heat pump, as well as hot water. Guest access Guests will have exclusive access to the entire house, except for one utility room which is locked and marked as private. Other things to note EV charging is available at an extra cost.
