Description
Fern Tree is a special compact, bijou and quirky 300 hundred year old cottage situated in the heart of the conservation area in the historic town of Frome. Feel the atmosphere as you walk in that only time can create. It has a master bedroom with a king size bed. The second bedroom one single bed has stairs to the attic room, no door. attic room has 2 single beds and a 6th person is a mattress on the floor A wooden, well equipped kitchen leads you out to a beautiful peaceful sunny courtyard. The space Fern tree cottage can accommodate comfortably 4-5 adults, or 2/4 adults with children. The blue room bed is a smaller bed (full size mattress) due to the size of the room, you have to walk through this room to get into the attic room and there is no door between the two rooms. The decor is lusterous and colourful but has a homely comfortable feel. It has a wood burner for the chillier nights Quirky means due to the age of the cottage it has low doorways and beams and the stairs are narrow and steep but this adds to its character. The cottage has been recently refurbished and has old slate and terracotta floors, a handmade wood kitchen and has been decorated with a sympathetic slant to the olden days as well as a modern and eccentric twist. The cottage features examples of stained glass designed and made by myself Art Glass by Design, which are for sale or can be commissioned. Guest access All areas Other things to note Parking. It is on street parking, the road is over 300 years old and narrow so parking is limited, please bring as few cars as is possible. There is a car park to the rear, we are end of terrace so its close, our back gate leads to it. It is all free. Wood burner. We provide kindling fire lighters and matches. If you would like wood please ask in advance and it woo be there, i only charge the current market price at the time. Kitchen, is well stocked with cupboard essentials so you don't have to worry about packing the spices oils and cling film. There is tea and coffee, and a selection of cereals and porridge so help your self
