Hilarity Hall is an immaculate Muskoka cottage near the village of Port Sydney offering 400' of west-facing Mary Lake shoreline. A dock, ladder, Muskoka chairs, firepit (with wood supply) and stone patio complete a very private waterfront. Added to this, towering pines, sunsets and wildlife give one a true cottage-country feeling while surrounded by the conveniences of high-speed internet, tv and a fully-equipped kitchen. Outdoor activities include volleyball/badminton, canoeing, fishing. The space This cottage was beautifully renovated in 2022 (as featured in Dockside magazine, August 2022 edition). It is a two-storey, 1400 sq ft property on two floors with a full, walkout basement. The kitchen is well equipped (and then some!) including a gas range, multi-function microwave, wine fridge, full refrigerator, separate freezer drawers, etc. It has a ten foot island with eight stools. The open living room features a spectacular limestone fireplace. The main floor has two bedrooms (one with a king bed and the other with two twins) as well as a bathroom. The laundry closet, adjacent to the kitchen, has stacked washer/dryer. The second storey boasts a large bedroom with queen bed and overhead fan as well as a second bathroom with glass-enclosed shower and double-sink vanity. The open balcony seating area has a small sofa and Frame tv. Wifi has 50megs x10megs. The walkout basement has two couches, a piano and tv and the back deck holds a bbq, table and eight chairs. There is a stream behind the cottage with lots of frogs for young naturalists while deer regularly stroll through the property. The waterfront includes a fire pit with stone patio and seating as well as a large dock with seating. Parking is ample and a carport offers protection from the elements for one vehicle. Guest access Guests have access to the entire cottage except for lower level utility room and closet. The property is large and private with plenty of room for children and pets. Other things to note Extra equipment includes one canoe, two SUP’s, two kayaks, as well as appropriate paddles and life jackets for all sizes. Badminton racquets and birds plus a volleyball are also available.
