Journey to Minnesota's iconic North Country. This beautiful lake front home is a perfect spot to base your adventures or just simply getaway and take in the nature around you. Our lake home is centrally located just a few miles from town with easy access to extensive hiking and biking trail systems, canoeing, fishing, skiing and various other recreation opportunities that define northern Minnesota. The space Lake home information: Situated on a 2.5 acre lot elevated slightly off the lake, this lake home has everything you will need to enjoy your time in the North Country. This lake home is enjoyed by our family and is only two cabins down from my parent's quaint legacy cabin that is on its fourth generation of making memories for our family and friends. We have onsite a Level 2 Tesla Universal Wall Charger. Only off peak charging is allowed by our electric company. You will be able to charge from midnight to 6am. Kitchen amenities: The kitchen is well stocked with a microwave, dishwasher, gas cooking range, dishes, flatware and glasses for 12, Cuisinart 12 cup coffee maker, whole bean coffee grinder, toaster, Ninja brand blender and food chopper, electric griddle, cooking utensils, baking sheets, hand held blender and bowls, quality cooking knives and cast iron skillets. The grill has a wood fired pizza oven insert for making great homemade pizzas. Home amenities: There is a bedroom and bathroom on each floor. The loft bedroom has pocket doors to close the room for privacy. There is a private 1/2 bath (sink and toilet, no shower) in the loft bedroom. The lower level living room has a bunk space just off of it. This space has two twin over full bunk beds. Please note, this bunk space does not have doors to close it off from the living room (airbnb doesn't have a "bunk room" option, so I needed to list it as a bedroom to get accurate bed count). Kitchen and bathroom towels, bedding and toilet paper provided. New, high efficiency wood burning stove installed December 2023. Firewood will be provided for the indoor fireplace only. Firewood will not be supplied for the outdoor fire pit. TV on the main level and lower level. Main level has an amazon fire stick for streaming. The lower level has a Roku tv. Both tv's are streaming only. We do not have any cable tv subscriptions. However, tv's should be logged in to Hulu, ESPN plus, Disney, Netflix and Amazon. Front load washer and dryer available for use. The house has central air conditioning and heating, wood burning stove, ceiling fans. Outdoor amenities: In the non-winter season lake has a beautiful dock that is great for hanging out on and swimming from. There are two kayaks, one paddle board, a canoe and swim platform for you to use. There will be backup lifejackets, but we recommend that your bring your own properly fitted lifejackets with you. If you are interested in renting a motor boat during your stay, we recommend calling the Musky House just down the road from us. We do have a dock with bumpers that the boat can be docked at. There is a large wrap around deck with table seating with 6 chairs as well as lounge seating to accommodate another 6 guests. There is a gas grill on the deck that includes a pizza oven insert. There is an outdoor fire pit. Please note that firewood IS NOT provided for the outdoor fire pit. Firewood on site is only to be used for the indoor wood burning stove. Guest access Whole house Other things to note There is a gentle hillside slope down to the lake. This is navigable by most people, but should be considered if a guest has mobility limitations. There are stepping stones set to the left hand side of the hill (going down) to help with the walk down and up if needed. The Tesla Level 2 charger is a universal charger and has a J1772 adaptor.
