Kitchen is equipped with a full size fridge, small convection/toaster oven, coffee maker and all the silverware and dishes you will need to prepare and serve a meal. Outside on the front porch is a 28” Blackstone flat top griddle. Lake side deck with seating. The cabin is small and rustic, set in a peaceful and beautiful environment and best suited for those looking to relax and unwind in the Wild and Away. We now have WiFi! Our cabin is located at the end of a slightly rough driveway that’s about a 1/4 mile long. Go past the green house and the cabin will be down to your right in about a hundred yards. When you arrive at the cabin you may park anywhere in the gravel lot. There will be a lockbox with the keys inside of it when you arrive. The entire bottom floor of the cabin is yours. We ask that guest DO NOT go upstairs. The second floor of the cabin is not setup for guests. The stairs will be blocked, we ask that guests do not move the barricades and limit themselves to just using the ground floor. The immediate land around the cabin is yours to explore! We will not have any interaction with guests outside of messaging on Airbnb unless we are asked to or find it necessary. Your in the foothills of the ancient Uwharrie Mountain range. Thought to have once peaked at some 20,000 feet, before eroding to a maximum of just over 1,100 feet. Rich in history, waiting for you to explore all that Randolph County has to offer up. You will have access to 19 acres and over 500 feet of shoreline on a small town lake, with an abundance of wildlife and thick hardwood forest to satisfy that explorer in you. If you have any issues finding the property please don’t hesitate to message us and we will help you out. Check out the awesome town park in Franklinville on the Deep River and be sure to give the Franklinville Diner a try. Ramsuer has groceries, gas, Cox's hardware/general merchandise, fast food, automotive care, etc. Only A/C and heat in master bedroom. Can get cold in the winter months! We provide plenty of blankets and portable heaters. Gas log stove in the living room. Due to the lake being a drinking water reservoir, the town does not allow people to swim or play in the water. We also ask that guests do not start any fires on the property, the property is surrounded by trees and because of this the ground is almost always covered in dry leaves so a fire could get out of hand quickly. This cabin is over 80 years old and it has its bumps and bruises. This property is not suitable for young children under the age of 12. Due to the cabin being on the lake and in the woods it is a hot spot for bugs and spiders. We do everything we can to manage them but it is an uphill battle. We provide insect killer as well as bug spray to help you defend yourself. (This is only an issue in the warmer months) There is running water and hot water on the premises but due to iron ore in the aquifer the water has a high content of iron. Iron is not bad for you (it’s actually good for you) but it does not taste/smell the best. We provide bottled water and a Brita filter but we thought it should be mentioned. The iron in the water also leaves rust stains in the toilet. (it is not dirty just rusty) Check out our Guidebook to find out great places to eat and fun activities to do while you are in Franklinville, NC! Awesome Town Park and hiking/fishing on the Deep River in downtown Fville !! Check it out! We do have one camera on the property facing the front of the house.
